the plastic pull tab broke first time using it heated ...
the plastic pull tab broke first time using it heated it to get it on the latch was getting hung up had to bend a stop and then it worked properly but still need to order new plastic pull release

EXspect a 3 day life span.... POOR WORKMANSHIP... BAD PIN Job...( On Swivel To Latch Pull Handel.)
POOR WORKMANSHIP ... NO QC . " BAD PIN JOB " On Swivel To Pull Handel , Did Not Go Thru far enough with Pin and Then Flatten out the Otherside ... 3 Day's Later Back and forth Caused Pin to Work loose and Come OUT.

Lift The Hood Again Without Pliers
Part used on a 2000 VW Beetle. Took a few minutes to install and adjust it to the old guy, but now I am able to open the hood without using pliers to grab the latching mechanism. Makes it much easier to do regular engine and oil maintenance. 300,000 miles and he still gets 55mpg on the open road :) Love my Diesel!

It worked fine once I removed the safety
You will need to cut off the rear safety latch to get this latch assy. to work. It worked fine once I removed the safety. I used a cut off tool on a die grinder to remove it.

The new one was in perfect condition and was very easy to install
This new hood latch was a lifesaver. The original one was broken. The new one was in perfect condition and was very easy to install.

Latch was flimsy and it bent after installation plastic pull tab broke immediately, I ended up putting the original one back on the car.
