I love this for styling hair. It gives a great effect for beach waves. It can become slightly heavy after holding for a while due to the large barrels. Heats up quickly. Holds hair style in well, even after sleeping!

My hair is already very curly so it takes shapes very quickly but this curler gets hot very quickly and give defined curls. It took mine few seconds for get light waves but if you want more defined curls leave it a bit more. Good value for money.

Got this to try and do something different other than straightening, I am not very good with hair. I haven't found any damage from this to my hair, use on the lowest setting let it heat up fully and it's still has enough heat to really work. Only hold for a few seconds. The only down side is it can put kinks rather than waves and either side of the barrels.

I had long hair, all one length until I foolishly used this curling wand. There is no thermostat on it and it is dangerously hot - so hot in fact that the top layer of my hair burnt off. Over the two weeks after using it, sections started to break off the top layer of my hair. It looked awful - frizzy, dry and unevenly broken and huge chunks of it were shorter than the rest of my hair. More on the right side than the left. It had taken years to get my hair in good condition, long, and all one length. (I also purchased at point of sale the special heat protector spray that was recommended by Amazon, and at one point the seller tried to insinuate that it was the spray that has caused my hair to burn…)What has made matters worse is the complete lack of support from both Amazon and Sworchi, the seller. I have provided all of the information that they asked for (although I could not provide a receipt for my emergency hairdressers appt - honestly, who can? - it cost me £80 to have a patch up job on my hair to try and even it out). I have sent through photographs and explained the situation. I did get a refund for the appliance, but the first Amazon rep I spoke to suggested that I also ask the seller for compensation. This was in September. I did this, and was originally offered £30, which then was changed to £20. Despite sending my bank details several times, I still have not received the £20 payment. The conversation has been going on for months and Sworchi just keep saying that they will check with ‘the financials’ to see where my payment is, and then nothing happens until the next time I message them.I contacted Amazon again today (at teh point of writing this it is Dec 22 - they were supposed to get back to me on 17th Nov to resolve, but nobody did), and after about an hour today on the phone with three different people - and then being told to resend everything (it’s already on their conversation trail on the site), I have finally given up. I have spent hours and hours on the phone and writing emails and, to be honest, it’s really not worth me bothering.This product is dangerous and should be taken off the market. Do not touch it with a barge pole. My hair is wrecked.

I bought this as I wanted to go back to my late 90's look of crimped hair... although it's probably not the best for thicker hair that's prone to frizziness. I straighten my hair every time I wash it, so thought this would be okay to use once I had done that, and it was fine and worked, but my hair became frizzier rather than silky crimped. It's not hard to use at all, it does take some getting used to, and the glove is a good idea although I don't really use it. I've kept it as it's good to have to do other's hair with or to use for fancy dress etc, but probably won't be using this as much as I'd hoped.

I highly recommend this product as it is easy to use, safe as it switches off after 60 minute of inactivity and it comes with a glove to protect your hands from the heet! The results are brilliant too, I have very straight hair and the waves lasted for two full days before I washed my hair!

oh what can I say about this product? it is amazing, it does not curl the hair but gives that wave feeling and looks so perfect. it does not damage the hair, but I apply a product before to my hair to prevent anything.
