MozaicTwin Size 6-inch Cotton Twill Futon Mattress, Navy

Mattress arrived in vacuum sealed plastic bag in a box I could never imagine a futon matress fitting into. It slid out of the box looking more like a big throw pillow; clever packaging but I was to say skeptical in the least. I had read the previous reviews but being mixed towards positive I took the chance ............" throw the magic pill in a glass of water and it turns into a dinosaur....amaze your friends" !With that in mind my wife and I carefully began to unwrap tape, plastic bag, cut taut fibre glass bands, hissing noises in the bag......the futon matress grew.....it's alive !!! Finally free of its vacuum confines and filling its fiber with air it began to look an awful lot like a mattress. .....though somewhat scaled down ...,so we placed it on our futon frame and uhhhhhh......were immediately disappointed so much wood futon frame showed around the perimeter.........."it says in the instructions we should wait 24 to 48 hours for the futon matress to return to its pre vacuum packed size." when all else fails......read the instructions", my wife a Spec. Ed. teacher is ace on instructions. Next morning we ran out to the patio, visions of a robust thick and billowy futon bouncing in our heads........huh...what ...same size as yesterday...?!..so much for that dinosaur crawling out of the water. Ok all seriousness, in spite of measuring our futon the matress was too small for our frame and we both felt the mattress was too thin at 6 inches thick. Now what?? No way was the reconstitued mattress going back into the original "pillow size box" for a return....Solution, long story short, we're getting a new cover for our original 8+ inch thick mattress and the size challenged new one went to a friend with a young teen "redecorating his bedroom". On a positive note; overall quality seemed commensurate with the price. Sizes of futons vary and a few inches either way makes a difference big time; because of that a local retail futon dealer would take the worry out of ordering sight unseen.

After reading some of the reviews, I decided to take a chance on this and I am glad that I did. It is very comfortable and I do get a good nights rest. I'm using this with the KD twin frame and it fits perfectly. I don't feel the slats underneath like someone else posted because the mattress is thick enough. I have back problems and need a firmer mattress and so far (after two weeks or so) I don't have any issues or complaints. Time will tell how well this will hold up but so far I love it.

I got 2 of these and luckily the color wasn't important. The seller could not fulfill the order for two items and one was delayed; when it got here, it was not only a different shade of blue completely but also a different fabric. The first one was nice heavy cotton canvas, the second one was some kind of synthetic, not nearly as sturdy or nice. It's also weird that there are zippers on the covers, since they aren't removeable. If you unzip them, it's just batting with no other cover. They work for my purposes, but if you care how they look you're taking your chances.

It is a pretty decent mattress for the use you want, which is to pair up with the matching futon frame.The fabric, however, is not very resistant, so have in mind that you have to treat this carefully against the edges of the frame. My son manage to create a small rupture that was pretty hard to patch due to the quality of the fabric.

I like that futon mattresses are not too firm and not too soft like foam and spring mattresses. I aired out my mattress for the recommended 24-48 hours after I took it out of the box, it was a little stuffy and I have allergies. The next day the mattress was ready to use and I haven't had any allergic reactions. If I need another futon mattress of this size I'd buy another Mozaic. I bought this mattress in blue.

I bought this mattress to go with a KD futon chair. My sister had purchased the same items and I had slept on hers, which was really comfortable. But this mattress is horrible ! It's like sleeping on a lumpy bed of rocks..you can feel the frame of the futon in some places, other places it's just lumpy. I will have to add something, or replace it, as I can't be comfortable, and could never ask a guest to sleep on it, which was the long term idea.

Money well spent. The mattress is firm but comfortable. I don't know why navy blue was more expensive than the other colors. But it's exactly as advertised, the cilor and size. Would recommwnd it to others.

Okay for comfort on the single lounger futon. Only thing is it has an odor a bit like vinegar. I'll have to wait and see how long that smell lingers. Might need to become patio furniture.
