Not that great
I have some rambunctious cats, so I'm always looking for good, sturdy scratching posts. I read some great reviews about this one, but I'm rather disappointed in this scratching post. I've had it less than two months, and it's already coming apart at the seam. On the plus side, it's sturdy - won't get knocked over easily. The cardboard it's made of is sturdier than the round tubes on most other cat posts. However, I thought I was getting solid wood and materials that would last longer than two months. I can only recommend this post over the kind that has round cardboard tubes covered in sisal, but for a long-lasting, sturdy scratching post, look somewhere else.UPDATE: So, I received this item on November 30. Here it is mid-May, and I have thrown this item in the garbage. I just got a replacement for it from Chewy.com for $25. It was a Frisco post, and I could tell right away that it's much better quality than this post.

Flimsy Junk
The cat loves this scratching post but the flimsy particle board base broke within the first month, rendering the product useless without doing some amateur carpentry. After it broke, I took it apart, and discovered that the base is actually two completely separate pieces of particle board that are TAPED together. No hinge. No reinforcing structure. Just tape. The only purpose of this is to enable the base to fold in half so it fits in a smaller box for shipping. If this had a solid, single piece of plywood as a base it would be perfect. I made a replacement 15.5" base out of a single piece of 1/2" OSB board, hot-glued the original fabric over the top of my replacement base and it is sooooo much sturdier than the original product. I would not recommend buying this product.

Falls apart quickly (baseboard breaks after a week of use)
Do not purchase because they fall apart shortly after use. We bought one for our kittens to use and were initially happy with it so we bought another one. Shortly after, the baseboard broke, and the post would no longer stand up. A week later, the second post had the same issue (the baseboard broke). As we had the same issue with TWO of these posts, you can expect the baseboard to break shortly after use. DO NOT PURCHASE.

My cats absolutely love it!
The sisal burlap wrapped post was exactly what I needed! I tried many other scratchers and my two large Ragamuffin cats would rarely use them, even with catnip added. I was hesitant at first because I wasn't sure if the burlap was something they'd like or if it would hold up. This post was simple to put together. The height of the post is perfect for my large cats. It's sturdy and the burlap is holding up great! Occasionally they get rambunctious and topple the post... but this post has kept the cats from tearing up my furniture. Thry like sitting on the top too. I definitely recommend this scratching post!

Base folds in half NOT GOOD
The instructions weren't very clear and I had extra parts I have no idea why. The base folds in half which might be great for shipping but a bear for attaching to the pole. Each ti.me you try to screw the bolt down the base opened then shut pinching your fingers or whatever body parts in the way. Better to pay more for shipping and have z solid piece of wood instead. Got it together finally but so far the cats aren't interested. Will have to wait and see how they like it and maybe spray a little catnip to get their attention.

This streamlined my whole living room!
After years of spending a fortune on new cat trees/condos made with cheap fabric coverings and replacing them far too often because my cat only scratched on one spot & wore out the sissal, I started looking for something that wouldn't take up too much space and overpower my living room and that would last longer. (I even used to replace the sissal on those sections but it was very awkward & I got tired of burning my fingers with hot glue LOL) This is perfect! It sits so well near a corner by sliding glass doors & I was surprised that my cat actually loves it! She'll not only scratch but also jump up to the top shelf & watch the birds outside! It's made a huge difference in streamlining my living room, both my cat & I are very happy with it!

The Cadilac of scratching posts, or look out points...
...depending on your cat. What I really need, is a scratching post made exactly like this only covered with the material of my cats favorite sofa! But this comes closer to that then anything else available. Great quality, easy to put together, looks amazing in the front room which I didn’t even expect. I have one cat that will use it for its intended purpose, and the other will only sit on top of it. The cat that perches on on it weighs 10 pounds and finds it very stable... so hey, yay for that. They each like it for something at least and in time my little percher might come around to it - fingers crossed.

My finicky cat loves the burlap-like fabric
My kitty snubbed posts that were carpeted, cardboard and rope covered. Instead, she preferred furniture and fabric baskets… joy. I searched and searched for something more like fabric and finally found this post, and she loves it so much I bought her two! We’ve had the first post for 18 months now and it’s still going strong! One side is a little more “plucked” than the rest but it’s still tight enough that she can still scratch it, and she scratches often! She also appreciates the flat top for a perch. It’s not very big but it’s large enough she can be a cat loaf fairly easily. My cat is only 8 lbs for reference.

Expensive but so worth it
When you consider the cost of furniture, this is a steal! Mia loves her post and is a great size for her to stretch up and scratch all the way down. The burlap fabric is holding up to her claws and her enthusiasm. It stays upright when she pulls on it. Such a great purchase!

NO SIRVE
No deben comprar.
