If your car, boat, or camper sits for days or weeks and then won't start, here's you answer.
This device far exceeded my expectations. It even exceeded my hopes. I plugged it in and charged it up when I got it. Then the first time I used it to jump start a car it went from 100% to 97%. I thought "at this rate it should handle 30 to 40 starts, so the display must be wrong." After using it for 22 starts it says 48%, so it's real !! It's mind blowing. it really has me wondering about car batteries now. If your cars sit for long periods and you can't trickle charge them, this is a super easy way to get them running. I honestly was expect about 5 jumps on a charge, not 42. The clamps are fine, the disconnect is fine, the display is fine. USB charging is great. Hulkman, thank you for a fine product.

Amazing, forget about NOCO, buy this
I had an Anker and then a NOCO jump starters. The Anker suffered from battery swelling and had to be discarded. The NOCO failed due to their BMS not tolerating low state of charge which disables power delivery to the battery and bricking the whole product (it's a known issue, look it up). Then I found a recommendation for this Hulkman and man, this is the one. It's been flawless for over a year now since I purchased it. It holds charge for months without dropping a single %, can charge multiple cars with one single charge and has other neat little features. All for a cheaper price than the equivalent NOCO.

It's Worth the Money
This thing is awesome! I was having trouble in the winter with my car battery not having enough juice to start my car if I let it sit for more than 5 days. So I bought one of those $45 lead-acid battery jump starters that also has a built-in air compressor. Let's compare that jump starter's performance to the Hulkman's. First of all, the $45 jump starter is the size of 2 big lunch boxes and weighs over 10lbs. After charging up the $45 jump starter for a few hours, I could get maybe 5 jumps of a weak battery out of it before it would need to be recharged. Then, if I left it unplugged in my house for a week, it wouldn't have enough juice left to get a single jump out of it. So I started leaving it plugged in all the time to ensure that if I ever needed it, it would be charged and ready to use. If I needed to use the $45 jump starter in the morning before going to work, when I got to work, I would take it inside and plug it in to make sure that when I left later that day I'd have enough juice to jump start my car if necessary. This whole arrangement was not convenient to say the least. Then, I read about these new lithium ion battery jump starters like the Hulkman. I decided to pay the bucks to get one and try it, and it was worth it. The Hulkman is about the size of box of legal envelopes, and weighs less than 4lbs. In December, I charged up the Hulkman in less than an hour (it came partially charged). At that time, my battery was completely dead, so a single jump depleted about 10% of my juice as indicated by the charge indicator on the Hulkman which read 90%. The car cut off once after the 1st jump, so I had to do it again. I estimate the Hulkman could jump start a completely dead battery like mine (small 4 cylinder Japanese car) maybe 6 times before running out of juice. Using it regularly over the next 3 or 4 weeks to jump a weak, not completely dead battery, barely any juice would be depleted for each jump. The display told me I still had 98% charge after the first jump. I had no fear that I wouldn't have enough juice when I needed it. Then, I fully charged it to 100% and left it in my car outside in my driveway throughout the whole winter from January to May before using it again. I live in Hampton Roads, Virginia, so the winters aren't severe, but we did have plenty of sub-freezing days during that period. After all that time, it was still at 100% charge. I used it to jump a very weak battery - not completely dead, but very depleted - and it said I had 90% charge left. That's after sitting OUTSIDE ALL WINTER LONG FOR MONTHS!!! I had to jump it again because, as usual, the car cut off after the 1st jump. Now I had 84% juice. When I got to work, I took it inside, and it recharged to 100% in LESS THAN 30 MINUTES while I was talking to my boss and a coworker about how awesome it is. Moral of the Story: For God's sake, just pay the extra bucks an get yourself a jump starter that is reliable, convenient, and that will give you peace-of-mind. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on the $45 piece of junk.

4 Years and Still Performing Like New!
I purchased this JSPB back in 2022'. Its worked flawlessly ever since. I recent had my car battery go dead after 5 years but my new battery was not arriving for a week. Fortunately, the alternator was still good. So all I had to do it jump it, which I did with the Alpha85 for a week. My SUV has a 6.2L V8 and this would jump start it with no problems. Simply hook it up, watch for the "Ready" note and simply crank it. I will say the battery became so depleted that the #2 errpr would light up which mean the voltage was too low to regiester. In that instance, I simply held the power and flashlight to enter force power mode and again it would light "Ready" and fired right. Great device to have. No bulky jumper cables needed, no having to flag down a stranger for help for a jump, no AAA neeeded, NO WAITING!. Quick and abolutely convenient!

THIS THING IS AWESOME even after nearly FIVE YEARS!!
I have had this for almost FIVE years now! This is an amazing product!! Buy with confidence!! I previously had a cheaper ($60) battery pack and not only was it not strong enough to jump start my motorcycle, I ended up swelling and non-functional after only 1 year! After that I did a lot of research and decided on this unit and I am SO GLAD I did! This thing will jump start a full size SUV and only drop to 5% It will charge 2 cell phones 3 times (6 full charges) on a camping trip and still have 35% left! I think it may have lost about 5% of it's strength after 5 years but it's still going strong! I liked this brand so much, I bought a battery tender/refurbisher for my motorcycle and I swear it has extended the life of that battery by keeping it connected in the winter. THIS THING JUST PLAIN WORKS! I am gushing over it simply because so many other products out there disappoint. THANK YOU HULKMAN... I'm your customer for life!

This is an HONORABLE company - UPDATE 3/30/2023
I received the HULKMAN Alpha 85 this afternoon. I could have used this two days ago but went with a new battery instead at the time. So, I am unable to report on the performance at this time. However, I will update in the future if, and, when the dead battery event appears again. The NAPA battery I had died suddenly after 3 years and 3 months. Whowuddathunkit? Unfortunately, that's sometimes how it occurs. After the situation I found myself in two days ago, I decided to never be caught off guard again. I will always have this fully charged and in my vehicle going forward. To me this is as important as a spare tire. Having said that, I must comment on the appearance, feel and packaging of the HULKMAN. These people put APPLE to shame. Next to ROLEX, HULKMAN has the most talented product designers, container packaging and document people in the business! The product as well as the box it came in is so extravagant that I have to think they could have lowered the price of the device by, at least, $25 or more on the retail boxing alone! I can only hope that the device itself lives up to the presentation. Here's hoping! UPDATE 3-23-2023 I really hate to make this update after the glowing report previously. However, the actual rating of the product needs to be commensurate with the performance of the product, not the unpacking impression. My apologies. I had my first opportunity to actually use the Alpha 85 after the purchase 5.5 months ago. I originally purchased it only to keep in my C6 Corvette storage area since these cars are infamous for eating batteries. I finally had to put it to the test yesterday, not for my car but my neighbor's 2019 Subaru Forester. The Hulkman had been sitting in my house since November (the Vette is never used in the winter) and was charged to 100%. I first measured the Subaru's battery and found it to be less than 8 volts. Yep, that's dead. I then attached the Alpha 85 and received the "error 2" (dead battery notice) as expected. That requires you to depress the two buttons simultaneously to put the Alpha into forced start mode. The "Ready" light illuminated and the dashboard lights came alive. Good so far. I have my neighbor attempt to start and ... nothing! Not even a clicking starter. Nothing. Two more attempts and watch the 100% slowly tick down to around 75%. So, I figure there is something else wrong. Maybe a body control module, a bad starter or whatever. My neighbor then calls AAA. The AAA guy shows up, takes out his beat-to-crap garbage small portable jump starter and ... wait for it ... first shot the engine cranks over like a champ and starts. Now I am angry. It had one job and it failed to perform in that one crucial exercise! 5 stars becomes one star. I have been living with a false sense of security having the Alpha 85 hanging around. The worst part is now knowing that it would have left me hanging in the event it was needed. This morning I find that there is no telephone number to contact support. Their website requires that you submit your contact details and they will "contact you soon," whatever that means. I will update my review pending the outcome of this issue. Bottom line though is that I will never trust this product. UPDATE 3/30/23 - I originally gave this product 5 stars based on the quality of the delivered product. Unfortunately, there is no way to test the product before you find yourself in need of it with a dead battery. As you can see in this review, I had the opportunity to experience it with a neighbor's vehicle and it failed. I then moved it to one star since it failed to perform in its only vital function. I am moving my rating up to three stars based on the exemplary manner in which HULKMAN handled their customer service. This update covers that service. I emailed HULKMAN the same info posted in this review. They called me within hours of my email and, based on the description of my experience, agreed there was something not right and offered to send me a brand new Alpha 85 - no questions asked. The new unit was delivered in less than a week. Now, that is what I call exemplary customer service rarely seen today! This company seriously stands behind its product. It's not just a pretty face (which it most certainly is). Yes, my faith in it getting me out of a jam is shaken but, I can never say they didn't do everything to try and make it right. UPDATE October 2024 - I finally had an opportunity to use the product on our Subaru Outback that had a deader-than-dead battery. I had to force the unit into start mode since the Subaru battery was truly dead. It had measured about 8 volts before I attempted the jump. The Hulkman turned it over effortlessly and started the car. Very impressive!

This is the brand you want. I chose the Alpha 85 which will start all GAS cars and V8 Gas trucks.
This a great item and has paid for itself already. I bought my first one, (yes, I now own 2. One for each vehicle) before a trip where I was leaving my vehicle in a long term parking facility while traveling by air. I was concerned that the vehicle camera would drain the battery even though it’s programmed to prevent this. Call it a backup plan. Well, we did not need it. We did drop our other vehicle off to be serviced while we were gone and arrived to a dead battery due to lights left on. Use this to jump the car and fired right up from a battery that would only make the starter click. After the jump the capacity on the Hulkman only dropped to 97% so this has plenty of jumps before a charge is needed. I bought the fast charger for home and a carry case to keep the hulkman and its accessories together in same unit. I call it cheap security. Not to mention since it has usb c port, makes a handy charger for phones etc when you’re far from power or it goes out. Built like a tank and well made, the first time you use it to save yourself from being stranded, you’ll be thankful you bought this. I looked at a lot of other models but I settled on this one for the build quality, the reviews and functionality. It’s a good one. No issues even starting my 5.0L V8 F150. It just did not care and easily started it. Like I said, it’s already paid for itself and why I bought one for our other vehicle. You’ll be happy with this one.

The best so far
I have bought different versions of this device from different brands and many of them I found to be unintuitive and difficult to use. This one, on the contrary, is very easy to use, and very effective as well. I have used it twice, already to help jumpstart cars of a couple of friends, and he did not let me down either time. The size is comparable to other battery jump starters so I keep it under my front seat where it doesn’t bother me. I believe it’s a good value for the money.

Affidabile e funzionale

Watch out for really dead batteries / boost function
To be honest I don’t know if it’s 1 or stars at this point. What I can say is that despite reading reviews and comparing products I did not get what I wanted. The reviews that talk about starting a vehicle with a completely dead battery are misleading unless you purchase /have the boost Option. In clear terms. If the battery does not have any (the tiniest) voltage flow measurable by the device, it does not detect and or switches to „ready“ which actually gives you the current. You can buy a different cable that has a boost function on button press (I assume it simulates minimal flow“ that gets the product to ready. Feel free to comment if you feel I have a defective device in general or just got it wrong. Didn’t work on my 911 where I need a current through the fusebox just to open to the hood to get to the battery (MGM battery) Didn’t work with my Spitfire with a completely dead battery Didn’t move to ready with my Audi with a new MGM battery because apparently it would switch to ready if the battery is healthy / has a healtybvoltage / current either. 🤪 A 7m jumper cable would have probably been cheaper and would work. Not sure if I go for the boost cable option. Found 3rd party only so far.
