London Gold City Series
I am reviewing London Gold scooter. I don’t have much experience with scooters, if any. Last time I rode a scooter I was 8 years old. 30 years later I have to keep up with my 8yo who rides Razor A5 DLX. Both are bigger scooters, suitable for adults. and I am able to ride both. DLX is much smaller, shorter and lighter, the max height of the handlebar is barely tall enough for me (I’m 5’8”). I purchased London model and have been riding it for a few days. I was pretty impressed with the quality of the scooter out of the box. I am not sure how it will hold up long term, but I plan to put it to good use this summer. The coolest thing about this scooter is the folding mechanism - it’s triggered with the loop at the top of the steering bar, so no bending; when folded, front wheel is locked between the extensions of the deck - no swinging around and hitting my ankles. I tested the trolley function at a local grocery store: you have to be careful not to scrape the ends of the deck that “hug” the front wheel, otherwise it is very nice if you don’t want to leave the scooter outside. It is a heavy scooter. It is also larger than most teen/adult scooters around. My kid can ride and haul around most of teen/adult scooters, but not this one. Also, the handlebar extends higher than in most scooters. Lowest position worked for a 10 year old, but barely. I can use both 1st and 2nd positioning hole, depending on the style of riding applied, but 1st hole is the most comfortable. I think it is really an adult scooter, 3rd hole (the highest) can suit a pretty tall person. Wheels are larger than average 200mm. I was hesitant to get 230mm front wheel, so 215mm was just perfect. The thing I like the least about this scooter is the break. It requires quite a bit of effort. It’s a lot easier to slow down and stop on the Razor scooter. The ride is smooth and effortless on the smooth surfaces. You are going to feel every bump on the rough sidewalk. I don’t get stuck in small cracks or trip over small stones, but obviously I have to avoid big cracks and potholes. Razor has traditional foam handles, while London has cool rubber grips which definitely don’t help to mute the vibration from the bumpy ride. Although rubber grips provide a more secure hold for sure. Just from riding Razor A5 DLX and London scooter, it appears that London model requires more effort to push, maybe it’s due to its weight or the fact that the deck is slightly higher off the ground. But cruising downhill is amazing. So, to me it’s a wonderful high quality adult cruising scooter suitable for a tall adult/teen. It has a couple of weaknesses but it’s a better scooter than others I have researched. It lived up to my (high) expectations, so far. I wish I could try out the other 2 models, especially NYC. I was not paid or reimbursed in any way to provide this review.

Sweet scooter for the price!
I was skeptical at first about this scooter. No one had reviewed it, so I thought I would give it a shot. First, I am 5'10 and 195 lbs. So I am not light. I bought this thing to chase my 2 year old and 5 year old around on theirs without me having to be on my bike or the other tiny Razor scooter. This thing is like a Cadillac comparatively so. Quick, glides like a champ, has held up after everyday use by me for a month and a half. I would seriously consider this scooter if you want a scooter that is well built and quiet while riding.

Decent scooter, wheels are junk
This scooter is great for commuting or general cruising. Don't get any ideas about doing anything more than that. The deck is extremely flexible, especially torsionally. Just standing on one edge or the other of the deck has it flexing quite a bit. If you stand on the brake with any force, you might permanently bend the deck to one side. I thought I'd at least be able to practice manuals on this scooter, but no not really, it's not sturdy enough for that kind of action. Just kick and scoot is quite comfortable and smooth though. The grips are positioned backwards though, so I'll have to figure out how to change their position or flip the handlebars. I can't just swap left and right handles because the spring locks force the position which would still be wrong. The locks facing forward would be the right grip. Otherwise, I'm very happy with what I got for my money.Update [2/12/21]: I figured out the grips problem, I just used a little muscle and twisted them to the right position. After riding this scooter for a couple of months, it's been holding up well. It's more sturdy than I thought it would be and everything is still tight, as much as a folding scooter could be anyway. The rear wheel has worn significantly though. It has a big flat area in the middle, perhaps from the brake, but at the edges of that flat area, you can see small bubbles in the urethane and some of the urethane has kind of rolled away like a pencil eraser would, I guess from cornering. I don't ride very aggressively, just kicking around on the bike trails in my area. I'll probably need to swap out the rear wheel soon. Overall, this has been a good purchase though.Update [3/5/21]:As suspected, after just a few months, the rear wheel has worn through to the hard plastic rim. The scooter will no longer be safe to ride until the wheel is replaced. I expected them to last much longer. I had an old razor scooter back in the day that lasted through years of daily abuse with plenty of life left when I got rid of it. I just bought a bike so I'll use that for now while the busted scooter sits in the closet. Maybe I'll look for replacement wheels at some point, but more likely this was money down the drain.

Great city scooter
Was unsure about this scooter since there were no reviews at the time I purchased. This is a great scooter for casual riding. I have been riding it around my neighborhood for over a week with my kids and am impressed with the quality, engineering and craftmanship.Folding it to throw in the car is a cinch, and it looks darn cool too. Will be giving 5 stars for now; I hope it lasts!Review Update:After riding this scooter for about 1 year, I'm knocking off one star. It has done reasonably well regarding durability, and no parts are bent or broken. However, it appears the bearings are shot and will have to be replaced soon (I would have expected them to last longer than this). Also, as other reviewers mentioned, the frame is quite flexible, presumably to keep it lightweight. But this makes handling and breaking rather unpredictable sometimes.Would overall still recommend this for scooter for occasional street riding.
