Sturdy wheel
Works like a charm on our wooden gate. Easy to install, instructions were clearly written. Maneuvers easy over wooden deck board and gate entry way. Glad to find a sturdy wheel that didn’t have a lock mechanism.

Works Great to keep Gate from Sagging
Works great, no worries about the wheels losing air like some other gate wheels.Just be sure to put a line of bricks underneath the wheels otherwise they would cause ruts and would get stuck

Installation hint
When installing this the spring-loaded cylinder should be compressed where a clamp. Release a clamp after installation and the wheel will track on uneven ground. You'll know how much the spring is compressed by how much the bolt protrudes out of the top of the cylinder.

Looks good, no instructions?!?!
Taking off two stars because no instructions. Whyyyyy?!??! All in all it took me about 45’ to install. With instructions it could have been 15’.I struggled most with choosing the correct size drill bit and after some trial and error sizing up from 3/16” ended up using a 5/16”, which allowed the bolts to slip cleanly through. If you want the bolts to screw into the hole then go with a 1/4”. I don’t have a socket attachment for my drill and I wasn’t going to spend 40’ with a manual wrench threading 4 bolts through 4” of wood gate. Also to give the gate support from the wheel, I moved the bracket down about 1/4” from where I measured with the spring fully extended. For installation, I held the spring compressed about 1/2” with an adjustable wrench wedged between the spring bolt and the bracket. I’ve seen other folks recommend a clamp but I don’t have any so had to improvise.

Must compress spring prior to instillation
Must compress the spring first. I used a vice grip. Then put the wheel on the ground and attach it to the gate. Release the vice grip. Works great! Lifts the sagging gate and goes over uneven dirt. There are no instructions in the box. This wheel will not function if not installed properly. The spring must be compressed prior to instillation.

Smooth wheels
Great wheels!!! They are used for an exterior gate over a concrete driveway. They glide super smooth and work well. I opted for screws instead of the thru-bolts. The brake is a plus!
