as advertised met my expectations

The beech is too hard to carve, the Walnut carved beautifully. I just happened to carve the spoons too deep. Will buy again if you offer all Walnut blanks

These are great it takes a little work Yep that’s right tools but it’s fun

I have nothing bad to say about the product. I just missed the size of these spoons. They are six and one quarter inches long, and the bowl is barely larger than a standard stainless steel teaspoon. At the time I ordered this, I had failed to recognize how small 6 inch spoons are.So, good quality pieces, but pay attention to the size, or you may be a little disappointed, as I was...but only a little (pun intended). I won't be ordering this again, but I might order larger spoon blanks, from the same company.

Grain direction is good and great to practice when you don’t have access to a store that sells wood.

Attempted to try spoon carving, picked up a spoon carving knife set off of Amazon as well. Although they are small that didn’t bother me. What did bother me is the wooden blanks were too dry for carving. As I understand it wooden blanks need adequate moisture so you can carve the fibers

I loved the the size and the walnut.

The blanks were way smaller then they appeared. The wood crack had a long the grain. will look elsewhere next time.
