Hydrogen peroxide is safer on septic systems because it breaks down relatively fast compared to bleach and many other chemicals used for cleaning. The last thing I’d want to do is to harm the beneficial bacteria in a septic tank that is breaking down organic waste, and this is one of the few products that is safer for that. It will break down some bacteria but at least it’s not a “nuclear” option that remains.The smell itself is strong like most cleaners, but it’s not overpowering and it doesn’t smell bad either. Personally, I prefer something odor-free or at least natural, so I’ve taken a few points off in the odor department but that can probably be expected.As for cleaning power, there are some things which are more powerful, but also not as safe. It definitely pays to help scrub manually while using this product or if you use it more often, you probably won’t need to.

Have had an endless problem with removing soap film on shower enclosure glass. This Lysol product actually seemed to work, for deep-cleaning maintenance. Spraying the product on the interior glass surfaces while they're still wet seemed to dissolve the soap film significantly - and without any scrubbing. The only downside to this product was an odd (and unpleasant) scent - that unfortunately seemed linger for several days after use. If the product formula could be 'tweaked' to fix this issue - this product would move to the top of one of my most highly-rated cleaning products.

I got this based off of the reviews and I’m actually pleasantly surprised. It didn’t work as well as I hoped on the moldy grout (the Clorox bleach pens worked better) but I was definitely pleasantly surprised at how well it cleaned the tub of soap scum. Just spray, leave it on for a bit, wipe, and then rinse. Boom! Clean tub.

This cleaner is a foaming product, and as soon as the bubble start to pop you know it's working! It offers a non bleach alternative to clean and disinfect highly used surfaces and does not require rinsing after use. The scent of the cleaner is one of my favorite aspects about it, I even look forward to using it. I did end up using it for an off-label use on my carpet, when some mysterious pink substance appeared. I did a test patch and noticed it did not harm the fiber or the color and I was able to clean up the substance off my new carpet with this cleaner as well. Oddly this product specifically is hard to find now so order in bulk if you enjoy it!

I use this product for its intended use as a bathroom cleaner. Even without the bleach it does seem to clean just as well and not have the strong odor of bleach. However this product does have a unique smell, I believe it is suppose to be the "fresh" smell. It's not a bad smell, just different. Product arrived nicely packaged and was leak free. The fragrance is really strong to me, but it does a good job of cleaning. Since it doesn't contain bleach, it won't bleach out mildew stains. But in most applications, this stuff works fine.

Got these for the war on shower mildew. Did an excellent job. I wish they made a model that squirted themselves and turned the shower on and back off when needed. Oh well, may in the future. These are also great for backyard bleach spraying fights when it is hot out. All of the neighborhood kids love it. No, don't do that. If you do you are a bad person. Bad bad person. But seriously, unexciting product that does the job.
