Boozey figs
I've been purchasing this product through Amazon for quite some time now and it has always been excellent value and excellent quality, but this time it was absolutely amazing as the figs had fermented in the bag. I instantly noticed that this pack was something special as soon as I opened it as my nostrils were treated to the scent of alcohol. The figs were extra plump and extra moist with a distinct flavour of booze. I'm sure that they are not meant to be like this but actually, like this, they are better!

disappointing
These are semi dried figs like the ones from the supermarket, damp and slimy. the supermarket ones have to be kept refrigerated so I wasn’t happy about using them for more than a couple of days after opening. Now in the bin

They do the job.
Due to Vitamin C intolerance fruit has not played a huge part in my diet so, despite being now immuno-suppressed and able to indulge, I remain a fruit novice. These are very dry, some have more flavour than others and, because they are so dry, they tear apart easily for smaller nibbles. I eat figs purely for their 'medicinal' effect (think Dyno Rod for humans) and the temptation to bung these in some port to see if they soften somewhat is very tempting. I will keep looking for a supply of figs as the supermarkets are an unreliable source but the words 'fruit' and 'consistency of quality' will rarely be uttered by me in the same breath (whereas one can easily praise the consistencies of chocolate or gin).
A**!
Good figs
Figs are dried but not over-dried.
