Roland Foods Medium Artichoke Bottoms, 13.75 Ounce Can, Pack of 6

I got these because while I THINK I love artichoke hearts I REALLY love artichoke bottoms. The hearts always have tough leaves that irk me. I can never seem to find just the artichoke bottoms, so turned to Amazon. As a vegetarian, my plan is to use these as a crab sub. I did pop a can and just have w some lemon, white balsamic, kewpie mayo and a bit of swiss, just to check them out. They are really well trimmed - even though they are packed in liquid, they started to discolor right away (as arties are prone to do) so I would hit them with lemon right away without fear of overdoing.

I love these for appetizers. You can fill them with anything and serve them either warm or cold. They are well liked by all who like artichokes.

Some parts of the artichoke bottoms were tough annd inedible and needed to be trimmed, but I know now to look for that before I serve them.

I chop them up and toss them into an omelet. I put a dip or some other filling onto them... yummy...

The package arrived with no damage at all but the cans inside are badly dented. Not small dents, rather large dents. Not going to risk it at all; this is going into the trash.

Cannot find these regularly in grocery. Excellent product but shipping was not to Amazon's usual standard. Cans came dented and box was in horrible condition. Checked cans carefully to make certain they were not breached. Contents appear okay so we will keep them.

hadn't been able to find these in my usual groceries, so bought them. then after awhile was in one who had them and much cheaper; so in future wont buy there on amazon.

This order was PERFECTLY packaged so that the cans could not bang up and dent each other. I use these in salads and when making chicken piccata and other dishes and on pizza.Please continue to pack these properly, as I order once a year or more.
