Why is the gasket black instead of the usual blue?

The black rubber gasket is the high performance racing gasket. Adds about 20 horsepower. Way better than the blue one

Is this filter for use with synthetic oil only, or can you use conventional oil with it as well.

I use synthetic oil with it, but you can use any kind...
