USB Medica Tag
Have many medical conditions and saw this product. You install software on your computer, fill out the forms (very extensive information). A few confusing things on this product. The software resides on your computer. You create a file on the computer. IMPORTANT NOTE: When installing the software there is a registration code. The medical file on your computer maintains this registration code. BACK IT UP. I had problems on my system and had to reinstall, but the registration code is no longer valid, (the company responded quickly with another one). If I had the medical file backed up the software would have gone right back on. Another point, once you finish writing in all your info. you will want to put the USB tab in the computer and go to the tab to upload the medical information. The upload is a PDF summary. The ambulance or hospital will have to access the information on the PDF file. There is no active software for the hospital or ambulance to be able to write on to the file.Software has a password option. It DOESN'T"T password the USB tag since the file uploaded is a USB summary of all you have written. The company advertises that medical personal recognize this. I'm a disabled vet and NO VA Hospital personal knew what this was, when I asked in two VA hospitals. I have also ask one civilian hospital and they didn't know. I would recommend people wear the medical bracelet and put on the bracelet, "Wears USB dog-tag with current medical information on PDF file"The advantage to this is all meds, medical info, contact, insurance, medical conditions, can be constantly updated with out re-buying a new bracelet. One bracelet will notify them of what your wearing till this device is more mainstream. I was so impressed with it, my wife "also disabled" and my son now have one.

My Dad has to go to the VA for his medical care. I thought this would be so great for him. Doctors can acess his medical infomation easily and he alwasy wears his old dog tags when he is there anyway. I was impressed with how slim it was.It blends in with his normal tags. Very discreet.I entered in all my Dad's medical info only to find out it did not save properly or install properly. I am fair at computers and I wonder how an older person is meant to upload this info. When I fianlly was able to save it, it would not re-open. That is the entire point! So mad becasue I had to evetually bypass the health info forms and put his info on the drive in a WORD documant. I could have gotten a cheap flash drive and done that. So I paid $ to have a flash drive that looks like a dog tag and works like a normal flash drive. What was the point. But it does have MEDICAL ALERT on it and blends with his tags so I can live with it. Buyer please beware.

Medical Alert Dog Tag
Well to get it open and up and running is not easy and to open and add thing and be a pain and as far as some on in an Hospital or EMT or Doctor I have had not come upon that as of yet so not sure on that end. Just on the programing and setting up it takes time , so get a cup of coffee or a cold drink sit down start filling in. you will need a lot of information on doctors , meds, operations, plus a lot more. good luck .

I received a silver instead of black. It it ...
I received a silver instead of black. It it bigger than a dog tag, thick, bulky and heavy for what it is. Do not know why it has to be so big and bulky when usb drives can be so small now. The end cap is very loose and can see it falling off and loosing it. I have an email in now and waiting on supplier to contact me back about these issues so will update afterward. Just wanted to get this out to anyone considering purchase.

So glad I purchased the Medical Alert USB Dog Tag
I have always tried to be prepared for any situation life throws upon us. No I wasn't a boy scout. As I have gotten older, I felt it it was important to have my medical information with me at all times in case of an accident. I was so happy to find the Medical Alert USB Dog Tag. I quickly purchased it. It is a quick and easy way for first responders to have my medical information. After typing in the information, I wear it and have the piece of mind of knowing I am prepared if I get in an accident. I would recommend this product for anyone with a medical condition that Emergency Medical Technicians and Doctors need to know. The price of the dog tag is great too. Again, I am so glad I purchased it.

Very Large Dog Tag
I love this cutting edge idea but finding that Drs ofc's are not yet able to get the info on the thumb drive. I'm hoping to get that solved soon. Then let me change out the chainlink for a ring so that I can change necklaces. It's very large so it will hold some data. Shall be showing it to all the Drs at the Hospitals and at both Stroke Survivor and Diabetes Support meetings.

works on some PC's...
The concept is great! The USB works on some PC's and not on others-unsure as to why. The medical cross-paint...maybe in new versions the company could engrave and then paint the red. Overall-Easy to use and quick to load history.

Awkward to set up
Not great! The outer body of the unit was cracked but did not cause a problem with loading. The software is awkward to use and difficult to maneuver from and back to various screens. I'm trying to figure out how to "reset and return to the factory settings". Then I'll try again. I think most people using simple Word and Excel tools can build their own "thumb drive med alert device".
