Study Guide to DSM-5

Does not contain disgnostic criteria!
The previous version of the book by the same publisher was ALOT more helpful in everyday life. It contained fantastic material covering the specific criterion for each disorder straight from the DSM IV-TR. It helped me so much in grad school and in my internship, and helped me cut through all the psycho-babble contained in the official APA DSM, which is somewhere around a thousand pages in length. I am assuming with the publication of the DSM 5 and the DSM 5 desk reference that the APA is no longer allowing the criterion to be heavily quoted any longer, as none of the third party books contain them any longer! Bah! That makes books like this ok for students trying to learn the disorders, but less than worthless for working clinicians.Just one more reason to dislike the DSM 5.

Not quite what I expected the book to be. ...
Not quite what I expected the book to be. Not quite a study guide, just more material to read.
