Are they... jerky? the lone reviewer (thanks tom!) says they "cost more than jerky", but are "ground" meat. so are they tough like jerky? or tender?

They are jerky. Just like bar shaped jerky. Much much smaller than I expected. I wouldn't buy again honestly

Can you cook with these?

Yes. Because they are ground meat, I find it best to simply soak and or boil in a soup or millet with veggies. Works very well. Especially gives a good meal flavor when,like the chicken siracha, they are too spicy for my taste. My local gas station carries the chicken siracha in single bars

Are these similar to "wag bars" ?

I've never tried a wag bar. My problem with these is that i found them extremely salty. I couldn't eat them.
