Old Arthurs Spicy seems to have endless layers of up front tang combined with down home smoke at the end. I would categorize it as a Classic BBQ Sauce with a bold, smoky flavor profile that includes a pleasant bite at the end (I ordered the Spicy). As a result, it is both savory and also highly versatile. It slowly rolls deliciously on and off your palate like a greased pig (pun intended). I catch myself sneaking a few naked spoonfuls while out back tending to the fire-just to remind myself what is coming later with the meat - It's that rich and delicious! So, a little background : I grill almost every evening (except when it rains) - Gets me outta da' house during covid and beyond I guess. I happen to also be an equal opportunity meat eater AND I usually make my own secret sauce. I recently came across the intriguing back story (you have to read it to believe it...very unique, a very authentic slice of Americana) of Old Arthur's origins...and guess what? Its over! Wow! The positive reviews that were shared via online search actually did not do the sauce justice. My wife is gonna be very pleased to not have to look at her kitchen destroyed from my sauce making. I am done. 1st night Ribs...to die for...very impressive, 2nd night beer can Chicken with the grill top closed when I added the woodchips and the last layer of sauce...memorable pollo for sure, tonight we gonna try it on slow cook smoked brisket according to an ancient South Texas recipe' shared with me years back on a hunting trip. Sorry if this makes you all hungry, but its a really really good down home authentic BBQ Sauce. Get the spicy is my recommendation!

I’ve tried many different bar-b-que sauces in my time and for one reason or another they were just so-so. Now on the other hand this has got to be the best sauce yet. Both my husband and I absolutely love it. I will most likely tell all of my friends and relatives about the great and delicious taste. This bar-b-que sauce is “Second to None.”

Having read the backstory to the Old Arthur company I was excited to try its sauce; it's reputed to be very good. However for me it's kind of disappointing. It's thin for a Kansas City sauce and the flavor is good but not exceptional. If you find most Kansas City sauces too think for your taste, this might be a good sauce for you. I would give it 3.5 stars, but I round up because, after all, it is a good sauce with a nice flavor.

I really like their sweet sauce and have all of the rubs Old Arthur’s makes, but I did buy the three bottle spicy set as a gift.

Seriously, stop. Quit now. Do not read what I'm writing. You're wasting precious time which you could be using to order this sauce. It's a nice combination of sweet, spicy, with a nice, thick texture which will stick to food and not fall away. Good stuff. Go buy it. Right now!

I think this is a great product and always seem to run out of it. I purchased the Spicy version which is just about right for those who don't like the spiciness to be overwhelming. Unfortunately, they don't sell the gallon containers on Amazon from what I have seen and when I sent them a message about it they never responded. I'll give them a 5 for customer service but a five for the product.

I love Old Arthur's Barbecue sauce! It is definitely one of my favorites and has a great flavor. Highly recommend!
