Does not work with Cable Box. Weak signal?
I have a repeater installed to control my DVD player and cable box. The emitter going to my cable box on my original dual emitter pair broke so I purchased this as a replacement. I placed the emitters exactly where my previously working emitters were placed and they did not work. The lights flashed so the signal was making it to the emitter. After messing around with the sensor placement on the DVD player for a few minutes, I finally got it to work...but it was obvious that the emitter placement was very unforgiving and it had to be perfect. I then went to work on the cable box emitter. I hassled for a good 10 minutes with no luck, and spent another 10 minutes looking online to see if others had similar issues getting results with emitters and my brand of cable box. Finally, to make sure I wasn't going crazy, I plugged back in the old dual emitter and placed the still functioning half on the cable box...and it worked on the first try. I again tried placing one of the new emitters in the exact spot and it simply wouldn't work. I've given up and now just use functioning half of my old dual emitter to control the cable box and this new one to control the DVD player. But at the end of the day I'm very disappointed in the quality of this emitter and caution others that the signal seems to be weak and it does not work on all devices.

Works great for Xbox one
I needed this for my Xbox one since I did not get the kinect with it. It took me 2 minutes in total to plug in, find the IR sensor on my tv and cable box, stick to each item, and go. These are awesome for under 10 dollars, and work great. I love the blinking light when I hit my xbox volume or channel button to know that signal was received. The only thing to remember on any device though is that these are cheap and thus their range is limited to around 1/2 inch max 1 inch range. In order to achieve the best result, they need to put right over the IR sensor of your tv or cable box. I just plugged it in and held down on the increase volume button until I had located the spot that caused the best result, then peal and stick. Once again great for the price.

Will work with XBOX One
I can confirm this will work with the XBOX One. My kinect is farther away from the Uverse box so I plugged this into the back of the XBOX console to let it control the channels. One thing to note. This emitter has a very narrow range and is definitely not omnidirectional in any sense. You have to move it around constantly testing it to find the exact spot in which the emitter hits the infrared spot on the cable box. Every cable box is different. Mine is on the middle front bottom. You just have to aim it directly at the box to make it work. With that being said, it does the job. My only grip is I wish it were stronger and could send off signals in any direction. But I guess for 6 bucks you can't really complain.

Works great with the Xbox One
I bought this product to use with my Xbox One without the Kinect. Plugging this into the Xbox IR port, and then sticking the emitter on the TV's IR receiver has let me use my Xbox media remote to control channels and volumes on my TV, as well as have the Xbox One turn on and off the TV as the console starts or enters standby. It does the job as expected for a relatively cheap cost. Excellent. One note is the IR emitter power is relatively weak, so you do need to place the emitter end close to the TV's receiver.

I ordered this for my Xbox One... ...
I ordered this for my Xbox One....not sure if it's the quality of this item, or my Xbox but I don't get all of my television channels on it. Will be buying the Microsoft one to see if it actually makes a difference. Otherwise, it does work well.

Haven't Had Time to Figure It Out Yet
I bought this cable for my new Xbox One to control my Onyko Receiver. The xbox one can turn off my TV, and Comcast Cable box but that's it. It won't turn off my receiver. I would like it if my Xbox can turn everything off when my voice command. Still trying to figure out I have been really busy late. I'll have to repost once I figure it out or if I can't figure it out.

Not what I hoped for..
Was hoping the IR emitters would send a signal 4 feet from entertainment stand to tv. It did not. I hate looking at wires and for this to work how I wanted it I would have to run the little cable across coffee table and stick to front of tv. The IR emitter is VERY WEAK. See picture for placement on cable box.

Great replacement
I had bought an IR repeater kit months ago and I just got to installing it permanently. In the process, I had to play with it and I ended up breaking one of my two emitters... bummer. With that, I found these and for the $5 they cost and the fact they work excellent--- no complaints from me. I currently run two different IR repeater setups in my house and both work very well and saves me from having two cable boxes where one is the correct solution. As far as this product is concerned, as long as I don't break it... it should work fine for years to come.

Works great for IR on the Xbox One if you don't have a kinect.
