I’ve been wanting a nice mug for my morning matcha, and this mug is one great quality. Perfect for my matcha. Very happy with it. Love the simplicity. It seems well-made and durable; hopefully it’ll last long enough. The mug arrived with no damage or chips, so that’s a plus. It was tucked securely inside styrofoam. This would make a great gift to those who love mugs! Very happy.

So, there are 2 main points to note here. First, the packaging is horrible. There's really no other way to explain this. Seller readily admits that they have poor packaging, but that they need to exhaust all current stock of their packaging before updating to something else. I suppose by their calculations it must be cheaper to send out a replacement mug than to ensure the first one gets there safely. To this point, I can say that the seller indeed does stand behind their product 100%! After contacting them regarding my first mug which arrived in a pile of shards as shown, they immediately sent out a replacement which arrived a day later. EXCELLENT! Something to note here is that although seller packaging isn't very good, the issue is mostly in how Amazon ships the item itself. The first mug came in an envelope! Who puts a fragile ceramic item in an envelope!!? So that part is on Amazon, not the seller. The replacement mug came in the same poor packaging, but was shipped in a BOX which helped to protect it. That came directly from the seller, not Amazon.Second part of review is about the mug itself. This is a very nice mug for the price point. It is a glazed stoneware mug and by most standards, a large one. It has a good feel and can hold nearly 20oz of beverage at 4" wide and 3.5" deep (2 cup measuring glass for scale). The glazing is varied in finish and adds a bit of design detail which of course is subjective to your particular taste. As the pictures show, the top 2 layers of color along with the inside of mug are shiny and smooth, while the bottom part is matte with a duller non shiny finish. This carries through to the handle as well. I can confirm that it can be placed in microwave with no issues. I haven't tried the dishwasher as I washed it by hand, but it does say it's dishwasher safe. Overall, this is a 5 star item that would benefit from better packaging, but is backed up by a solid seller who stands by their product.

Such a great mug! I love the size- it’s huge, gorgeous and reminiscent of the pottery stoneware vibe I was looking for. I looked all over Etsy & eBay for something similar and came across some very pretty but very expensive ones. For the price, this was a great deal.The only thing I’d mention is the middle band in the photo looks very pink but in person it’s more of a taupe / beige. And the top isn’t quite as iridescent as I’d have thought. But given the nature of ceramics/glazing I’d imagine each one will be different, so as long as you keep that in mind. The glazing isn’t too bad, it has a lot of texture and ripples which I love, and I’m a fan of the drip effect and speckling. It’s also the perfect size for running a full sized Vertuo Nespresso pod 2x. With the foam it reaches the top and still leaves room for syrup or cream or whatever and I end up w. an awesome 16oz cup of coffee.I’ve microwaved it, run it through the dishwasher & hand washed it and never had any problems- it’s very sturdy, heavy & thic. Will last awhile I feel. Reached me in great condition, no chips etc. been using it for around 3 months and still in love! Getting lots of use :)

Excellent stoneware mug, not too heavy, holds a good amount of coffee, rim is smooth for drinking, easy cleanup. Haven't tried microwave or dishwasher yet, I usually hand wash my mugs. Great mug.

I bought two of these mugs and they seem sturdy. They were well packed and arrived unscathed. While I like them, they have some cosmetic blemishes. The handles are either not fully covered with glaze or have some different colored glaze. There is also a small blemish on one of the mugs (see red circled area in picture). While not extremely noticeable, it can be seen. Due to these things, I think these mugs are seconds or rejects that couldn’t be sold as first quality. I’ll still use them because they are large and hold a lot of coffee, but I was expecting better quality.

This is the perfect size for those mornings when I really need a lot of coffee. I also absolutely love the color. It looks great!

I seriously love this mug. It's really well made. Comfortable to hold even with how big it is. The color is exactly how it's pictured. Dishwasher and microwave safe.Will definitely be purchasing more.
