Replaced a 2.5 gallon steel VIAIR tank with this one, what a difference! This thing weighs nothing in comparison and is larger. I thought the steel tank was coated, nope. So much rust it plugged my traps. Got a stainless solenoid and hooked it to a switch, so rather than run traps I just do a quick purge every time I get in the car before airing up. I read that the tank was dirty from manufacturing. A quick shake and rinse blast with the hose and dish soap didn't yield much but there could be crap in there from manufacturing and polishing the tank. It was not packaged well and the brakets were bent, took maybe 10 mins to straighten them out. Also no isolation bushings, don't recall any mounting hardware. Drilled the holes out and used the hardware from the previous tank.

I received my tank earlier this week. Unboxed and getting ready to install...until a shocking discovery!!! The tank has all sorts of debre on the inside and to add to the misery, the threads are dirty and contains some sort of metal deposits. Now I am not able to thread in mybair fittings!

Good enough quality tank. The threads on the bungs needed to be cleaned but that was easy enough. Good quality for a budget priced aluminum tank.
