THE SARACEN STORM: A Novel of the Moorish Invasion of Spain

A genuine page turner, I loved it, the characters engage you, the story romps along. It felt like it was being set up for sequels, but maybe not.

I absolutely love Spain and it’s remarkable history. JM Nunez does an outstanding job in crafting a fascinating story set in the early part of the invasion of Spain by the Berbers. For me it was well researched and convincing. If you enjoy historical novels I’m sure that you shall enjoy this one.

..unfortunately there are orthographical and contextual errors.E.g.: 'she was of slighter built....'and:'I don't pay for women, Julian. Unlike you, they come to my bed willingly...'(this means that Julian comes unwillingly?!)

This was a thrilling story full of colour and warfare. I was fully engaged with the writing and found it difficult to put down. Wonderful!

This was very good. I didn't know much about this part of Spanish history so if was an interesting read. I hope he writes more like this.

Only gave it 4 stars because I felt some of the plotting was a tad predictable. Would have liked a bit more from the Saracens point of view, they were portrayed as 2 dimensional "baddies". Enjoyable read never the less.

Great story. Lots of believable characters. Very descriptive battles scene. All in all a great adventureLooking forward to a further book. Highly recommended

Though not what I expected, it was an enjoyable read. I New very little of this period in Iberian history it has settled my appetite for more.
