THIS DOLLY IS VERY EASY TO MOVE AROUND WITH A LOAD. THE CASTERS ARE VERY SMOOTH ROLLING. THE CASTERS DO NOT HAVE EXCESSIVE PLAY AS ONE REVIEWER SAID. THE PLAY IS MINIMAL. ALL FOUR CASTERS ROTATE WITCH COULD MAKE CONTROLLING IT DIFFICULT ON A SURFACE THAT IS SLOPING. BUT, IT IS VERY EASY TO MANEUVER BECAUSE ALL THE CASTERS ROTATE.

The castors shipped with this product have about 1/2 inch of play on either side. The wheel literally can slide from side to side. This is no good. I did not even bother to bolt them on. Unfortunately, I threw away the box, so return shipping is too much of a hassle to find a suitable box. Instead, I've just ordered 4 castors at a cost of $50 in order to make this product be what it should have been in the first place. I could never ship a product with such cheap parts. I wouldn't feel good knowing I was making my living by sending out less than the best.

1,200lbs only if you don't have to move it. Otherwise the casters will bend and get caught on their mounting bolts, then your not going anywhere. If you have to turn more than 20* your load is going to slip right off. Easy to assemble, casters are a good size. This thing works great if you have a second person and going in a straight line on an even hard surface, if not; get something else.

Instead of this model, check out the Vestil 1624-9. I have that model for over a year and its proven its value as the perfect dolly for home use. My wife loves it especially after I added some mods (pull strap & non-slip fabric). Its compact size makes storage simple. The castors appear to be more robust than the 1624-12 model and have held up to countless loads. Totally worth the $40 shipped.
