Janome Acufeed Open Toe Foot

I bought this foot for my Janome 6600 sewing machine for machine quilting in the ditch. It took me a little while to accurately stay in the ditch, but after quilting one queen size quilt, I got the hang of it. This foot definitely helps move the layers along more evenly than the regular foot. After using this foot on two quilts, I decided to buy the Acufeed Ditch Quilting Foot. I am half-way through my first quilt using the Ditch foot, and so far, I think I prefer the Acufeed Open Toe Foot because it gives better visibility of the seam line. The Ditch foot casts a shadow which makes it difficult to accurately keep the dark guide in the ditch. If you use the Acufeed Ditch Quilting Foot, be sure you have a good light behind you to shine on your stitching area. All in all, I love my Janome machine and its attachments.

I love the Acufeed foot on my Janome 6600. But the one that comes with the machine really impedes visualizing what's going on in there. This is my new "Go To" foot. I'm a happy quilter now.

Very useful accessory. There are times when it helps to be able to see as much as possible while stitching. This foot is great for that purpose and it's still a walking foot.

Acufeed is a terrific system, although not Pfaff IDT. This foot allows for proper traction and excellent results when doing deco stitching or any application you want to be able to really see!

Love the accufeed, and this open toe foot is a great addition as, for accuracy, you can really see exactly where that needle is going.

This is a wonderful foot for stitch in the ditch. You can actually see clearly where your stitches are landing.
