Ross CKDVD-RS DVD/CD Laser Lens Cleaner

Thought it was rubbish until the second time I put it through I actually listened to the track didn't realise I needed to lol and it worked. You can listen to their music or Ffwd - don't "skip" through - track by track. Delighted as all my Christmas DVDs ran as if I had used sand paper on them. So well worth the money. Only takes one go (when you have the wit to listen to the instructions) to clean the machine.

Actually, this has all the potential of being a wonderful tool. However in my case it didn’t work; it transpired that the laser reader had died. But what it did do was put new life into the CD player in my radio so it wasn’t wasted.

My CD player was playing up, distorting and cutting out intermittantly. I expected an expensive repair or replacement but I gave this product a go as it was cheap, so decided I had little to lose. I loaded it into the drawer of my Marantz, and followed the audio instructions. It didnt seem to finish, so after about10 minutes I ejected it. I then put a CD in and the player now sounds better even than before I noticed the problems. If your CD player is giving problems this is a cheap first step to try and fix it.

This fixed the ‘skipping’ issue on my CD player!! I was looking at buying a new player but this has cured the issue! Just listen to the instructions when you put the disk in the player, It’s easy. They recommend regular cleaning using this disk!! Cheap fix, thank you very much!!!

Having read numerous bad reviews I thought: "Hey! For £1.16 - what's to lose?" The answer was of course - £1.16 as the return postage costs make it pointless returning the item.I tested this cleaning disc on; a Panasonic SA-PT70 surround sound DVD, a Dell Inspiron laptop, my custom made desktop PC, and a TV with built-in DVD. A voice over (if audible) tells you that this is a CD cleaning disc and nowhere in my tests did I get the information or impression that it was designed to clean DVD's. The nearest I got to a result was with my desktop PC - the cleaning track seemed to play but, as I didn't get a "cleaning completed" message, who knows if it worked? On the laptop the cleaning track "Eternal" by the Isley Brothers cut out almost immediately without playing the 2 minutes 7 seconds it was supposed to last, but I did get a "Cleaning Completed" report (WTF?). I doubt it would have had time to do anything useful. The disc was useless on the Panasonic as the cleaning track refused to play at all, and on the TV/DVD the disc would only play the audio introduction and then go no further. On all drives tested the disc made a hell of a noise and I can only hope, even if it did no good, it hasn't done any damage.Conclusion.From my experience, this cleaning disc is not fully functional on any drive and is as useful as a chocolate fireguard!NOT RECOMMENDED

I bought this brand laser lens cleaner, as the price was excellent! There's no complaints there! But there is a problem with this disc. It chooses when to work!It works fine on my DVD/CD drive on my laptop and pc, also it works fine on my CD players but it doesn't work on our DVD players!It plays and you can follow the instructions and "Skip to track 2 and track 9" as instructed by the audio but... when you flick on to track 9 (the actual track that cleans the lens) it won't complete, I left it spinning for 10 minutes plus thinking that it was deep cleaning but it just didn't complete.If you're looking for a reliable DVD lens cleaner I wouldn't recommend this product, it seems that the old adage "you get what you pay for applies to this product.

The product arrived very quickly. My dvd recorder had suddenly started telling me "No Disc* and would not record to dvd. I thought it must be something serious but a helpful person on a dvd problem forum suggested I run a lens cleaner through the machine, that it might do the trick. There were no instructions with the cleaner so I ran it through the recorder several times until a message appeared "cd 56 mins remaining" or something similar. After several false starts I learned that this was the magic message. Afterwards I was able to record to and play dvds again. Result! And only £1.19 !

Reasonably priced and seemed to do the trick. I cleaned all my DVD and CD players with it. I bought it in the first place because the CD player in the car would not play some discs and after using the lens cleaner they all play perfectly. It did not take too long to complete its job. I think some people complained about the noise it made, but I hardly noticed anything.

Facile d'utilisation. Semble efficace. Mon lecteur fonctionne bien. Il y a deux petits brosses collées sur le cd, qui nettoie la cellule, en tournant. Le mode d'emploi est audible lorsqu'on le met en route

Mi CD coche no iba a funcionar. Después me compré este, a 10 segundos más tarde, era perfecto. Gracias Ross!

Nuncalos habia usado, pero la verdad es que cumple muy bien su función. Limpiar de polvo las lentes para el correcto funcionamiento del DVD

Lo compré porque mi cadena HIFI saltaba al leer CD's. SOLUCIONADO.Tenía en casa un reproductor de audio que iba a tirar porque no leía cd's desde hacía años: Usé el CD Ross y ahora tengo un reproductor como nuevo!!! Funciona y no se tarda ni un minuto.El CD es la cosa más simple. Tiene dos pequeños escobillos pegados que son los que limpian la lente.

Mi cadena no reconocía casi ningún cd, tras pasar el limpiador Ross, lee los que se encuentran en mejor estado a la primera. Para hacer funcionar a los más antiguos (y perjudicados) tengo que introducir el limpiador y , acto seguido, el cd en cuestión. Suele funcionar al segundo intento, aunque resulta algo tedioso andar metiendo y sacando los discos. No está mal.
