Enya Bernadette Signature Concert Ukulele 23" All Solid Mahogany MAD Rose Red Bougainvillea Ukulele With Pickup-Include Case, Tassel, White Strap, Finger Shaker (EUC-MAD XB EQ)

I purchased the electric version of this ukelele. I have had my eye on an Enya for a while but was holding out for the right one. I had a couple I was trying to decide between. Then lo and behold this one appeared! I had looked at the basic solid body mahogany ukes on the Enya website prior to my purchase and had seen videos of the non-signature version played. The beautiful fret board inlay and rich pink color of this model definitely solidified my decision to purchase. I love the rich tone. It makes my other ukeleles sound tinny and twangy. It is now my go to instrument. I find the strings softer and easier to play than those on my soprano. Although it is quieter and softer when played acoustically (probably due to wiring inside) than either of my other ukes, I had no idea how much fun it would be to plug into an amp and make some noise.As for the smell that some reviews have complained about, it is definitely the wood working materials that cause the smell. Although strong at first, it isn't terrible and will fade. I have been playing this uke for 3 weeks now and I can still smell the stain/shellac smell when I put my nose to the uke, but it isn't noticable when I'm playing or when it is hanging up.I love this uke, Enya has great customer service and they are quick to respond and answer questions. Shipping took about a week from China and the box and uke were well packed and in great condition. I plan to purchase from them again when I am ready for my dream tenor uke!

The action must be set to "perfect" because of all six of my ukuleles, this one is easiest to play. One strum and I knew this to be a quality ukulele. Crisp, rich sound that's so lovely. While the mechanics are important, this ukulele is like a showpiece, as well. Beautiful rose red color and bougainvillea fretboard inlay make this a special, decorative instrument that's too pretty to be put back in its case! And that case is nicely padded. After playing it for three weeks it's easy to say it's the best ukulele I own - it's become my go-to ukulele. I've been playing for two years and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, great sounding upgrade.

I’ll preface this by saying that I love Bernadette on YouTube and when I saw this uke, I was excited. The quality is amazing and it’s stunning. However, there are no clear instructions with the electric uke so be prepared to be lost. I was shocked to see that everything such as volume, batteries and etc is inside the sound hole. It’s a hassle for sure. I had to call customer service and email the company for instructions to get the batteries out with no avail. I had to return it sadly.

The size is just right for me, I’m petite and asian. I thought tenor will work for me but it’s not cute anymore next to me 😂. The color is vibrant. The sound is amazing, my friends who wasn’t familiar with uke was amazed how beautiful the sound is and she was in the other room when she heard it and when she saw the uke itself, oh boy! She’s in love. Everytime i see it i feel like playing. It is really a beautiful ukulele. Good job Enya team! The quality justifies the price. I don’t have any complain. I love my ukulele ❤️ So I highly recommend this. It won’t let you down.
