Good FPS gaming mouse
very good mpuse for FPS games like CSGO and RB6. The texture is slightly rough but you get used to it easily.

The search is over!
My hands are 19 cm by 10 cm with relatively long fingers. I should mention I am 66 years old, so comfort and care of my wrist and hand in general is important to me. (Especially since I am a drummer!) For reference, I researched reviews by Rocket Jump Ninja. As a result, I have tried Zowie FK1+ and EC1 - both were too wide. Then Zowie FK1 and EC2 - both were too narrow and not long enough. All were very responsive for FPS. In desperation, I tried the Mionix Naos 7000, but it was not long enough for my fingers and a bit awkward for FPS.Eventually, I came to this Steelseries Rival 310 which suits me to a tee and fits my hand just right - I'm obviously between sizes for the aforementioned mice! All the buttons have just the right amount of resistance - not too hard or too easy to press. I have no pain in the wrist , hand or fingers. Side buttons are bang on in the right place, so no stretching to get to them. The sensor is, both on paper and in practice, better than the Zowie, and that's saying something. My gaming has improved a lot. First with the Zowies and then more again with this mouse. The blurb regarding the accuracy and response is not a gimmick - it is a fact. An excellent, comfortable and responsive gaming mouse. Highly recommended and I hope my comparisons have been of some help.

Uncomfortable New Design ... 2 Stars !!!
PROS:- Well Made- No Rattling Noises.- Buttons Feel Great.- The Sensor makes the mouse a joy to use & is so accurate.- Mouse Feet run Smoothly on Cloth.- The Rubber Sides are Extremely Grippy ... & the Best in the Business in my Opinion.- Buttons feel clicky & solid.CONS:- Uncomfortable New Design - The 300 was PERFECT - Being Shorter than the 300 now means my hand gets cramp pains after only 20mins use ... which is something ive never suffered from :(- Button Clicks are TOO LOUD !!!

Replaced my G Pro Superlight
I didn't expect this would happen but this managed to replace my existing Logitech G Pro Superlight and now its my favourite mouse currently available.... It still isn't perfect though.I'm a mouse enthusiast and I've reviewed a few via YouTube. I play a variety of games but right now I'm mainly playing Destiny 2 and league of legends. This review I'll draw comparisons mainly to the g pro superlight because its what I consider the best alternative available but realistically the G305 isn't that far off either. The Prime Wireless is pretty much my first serious Steelseries purchase. Right out of the box, it feels much more premium than the logitech offerings. It's noticeably heavier (81g vs 63g) but it remains in that comfortable but not heavy range.Talking about comfort, this is the main reason it's my main mouse now. It feels bigger and more ergonomic than the superlight. I use a palm grip and I noticed my wrist was pressing much heavier on my mouse mat with the superlight which could cause issues in some people. The prime wireless had almost no pressure on my wrist but it did take a little getting used to the weight difference. When I think of the closest feeling mouse to the prime wireless I think of the Fnatic Clutch 2 but without the cord.Battery life I can't review yet since I haven't had the mouse long enough but I'll update when I get a fair review of it. I did turn the lighting off though to save battery because it just felt shoehorned in and not needed. It cannot do a white led though like most RGB stuff nowadays, it goes light blue only. The main two buttons are great and feel really good quality with no extra creaking (a superlight issue) but my main concern with this mouse is the side buttons. They are in no way hard to press but they are thin and just simply don't feel very good to use. By comparison, the Fnatic Clutch 2 had much better and wider side buttons. I can still use them comfortably in both league and destiny but the superlight was also better here. The USB C connection was a nice touch but having a USB C wireless dongle was something I didn't like. My PC doesn't have a USB C port and whilst it's a good idea for laptops, Steelseries included an adapter for it..... But it's USB C female to USB C female. A USB C female to USB male adapter would have been good. Instead now I have to have the adapter attached to the USB C cable on my desk rather than attached to my pc itself. This may be good for limiting electrical interference but it makes the desk look more cluttered. Logitech has tiny adapters that have no issues with interference for me but they can be awkward to remove due to being so small. One other negative note about the prime wireless is something the G Pro superlight also got negative reviews about but for very different reasons. Whilst the superlight had large but poor quality PTFE feet, the prime wireless has extremely tiny PTFE feet. Its basically just two dots, a ring around the sensor and a larger curved bottom piece. This may be part of why the mouse feels a lot heavier to use side by side. The software is basic and easy to use which is good however it doesn't look as pretty as logitech's software. Steelseries software functions well and notices instantly if Windows settings are getting in the way. Logitech didn't change Windows settings at all and originally made some difference between desktop and league of legends in game. Fnatic software is still the best I've used though whilst MSI and Corsair are the worst. MSI jam a bunch of crap in that you don't want or need, which even once broke my WiFi due to updating my WiFi drivers in dragon centre for no reason other than it could... Corsair is awkward to use and often has issues with not updating the RGB and crashing.
