Instructions say for indoor use and can get damaged outdoors in the rain.
Exactly the same issue as the previous reviewer. The description on Amazon says for indoor/outdoor use, but the instructions in the box indicate that they are really for indoor use and can get damaged in the rain. Now reluctant to use outdoors in case they prove to be unsafe. Have given one star, not because there is anything wrong with the lights, but because I ordered them for the garden at Christmas, so extremely likely to get rained on!

Just what we wanted for the Christmas tree
We first used LED lights on the Christmas tree a few years ago when we replaced the old fashioned miniature bulbs. At that stage we were very disappointed because the LEDS gave a harsh white light which overpowered the other decorations. So these new lights represent a second attempt and we are now very happy with the "warm white" colour. The fact that they can be programmed and dimmed is an added bonus. We have only had them for one Christmas season so cannot comment on their longevity but, so far, so very good.
