This review is for Mont Blanc Meisterstuck Le Grand Platinum Ballpoint Pen.I had the same seriese of Meisterstuck Le Grand Platinum Fountain pen for the past few years, and finally decided to get a matching pair in ballpoint.I saw some reviews stating that item was fake… So, I intentionally choose “Sold by: Amazon.com” in seller’s list with Prime eligibility (in case I had to return it).At the time of purchase, there were several different sellers offering this item in variety price range. Amazon was the highest of all (around $300), but still it’s almost 40% off retail price. It was too good to be true, but I gave it a try.Upon arrival, I carefully inspected the box, pen and warranty card.It sure seemed authentic enough but I wasn’t 100% sure.So I decided to bring it to the Mont Blanc Retail store and had them authenticate it.A sales person set mine and their pens side by side and started taking a part. Inside component was identically the same. Rotating mechanism was smooth.Then he checked serial number on platinum ring, MontBlanc logo on the back of platinum plate. Everything seemed to be authentic.I actually touched the one they sell, and compared to what I bought. I couldn’t tell the difference.At last, he took my pen to the back of shop and checking something hidden, I guess.Then at that point, a sales person mentioned it seemed 99% authentic. In order to be 100% sure, they can send it into headquarter for $100+.I decided to stop my journey here. It was enough for me.Only thing he told me was there was no stamp of authorized dealer which is supposed to be amazon, but he said amazon was not.What this means is Mont Blanc may not honor 1 year warranty if it breaks… I have a couple of Mont Blanc ballpoint pens for over a decade. I use all of them often and none of them never broke down. So for the first year warranty doesn’t appeal to me much.I took it as a great deal! I’ve ben using this pen daily for 6 month, and not a single break down. It’s a well made writing instrumental.

Dependent self was amazing. My issue is with the vendor. The description indicated that the ink was blue, but came with a black cartridge. I am mediately reached out, and to this day have heard nothing from the vendor. Very disappointing for a pen at this price point.

Excellent quality and prompt delivery. If I had to nitpick it would be that it was promoted as having blue ink but it came with black BOLD point ... but that is okay.

It s a Mont Blanc Le Grand and I have another in Gold and this is even smoother then my first one. Glad I bought it through Amazon Prime. and I checked to verify I went with Amazon vs. the unknown vendors. the issues i read made it sound fraudulent and I can tell you its not but check out the source

I received this pen and looked used and old. Mechanism was loose and when I tried writing the pen felt broken. I took it to Montblanc's Customer Service and they told me it looked used and no warranty was available as there was no purchase date and shop identification in international's warranty card.I got no response from seller regarding a pen change or money reimbursement.DON'T BUY ANYTHING TO THIS PEOPLE!!!

Surprise me to see so many people saying it is fake. It is aggravating, as I almost returned it when I bought it. I then took it to a Mont Blanc store and they checked it and confirmed it to be real. So, bottom line, great amazing pen for a lot less then other places. I am very happy with my pen.
