Cedar Garden Sifter for Compost, Dirt and Potting Soil - Made in The USA - Sustainable Cedar - Heavy Duty Stainless Grate (Handheld)

I used this today to sift a wheelbarrow full of dirt and stones. As others stated this is not a good sifter for getting pea gravel out of the dirt, but works well sifting out river rock and gravel. I would recommend this for small jobs only. I got through a wheelbarrow full of dirt and rocks in about a half an hour.The build of the product is very sturdy and the screen is very sturdy. IMHO, it was worth the price and I will be using it when I do new plantings in my flower beds to eliminate some of the rocks in the beds.

Excellent product, well made with sturdy materials. I only wish it had come with handles. Not a big deal though. I just added the handles I wanted.

We had some scraps of hardware cloth sitting in our backyard, along with some odd pieces of lumber, so before buying this, I considered asking my husband to make something that would help me get the gravel out of our soil. Since he was busy with other projects, I ordered this instead. I viewed a lot of similar looking products before buying this, and after it got here, I was really glad I paid a little more and got something that is durable and well made. This grate is definitely sturdier than hardware cloth. The wood is very solid and nice quality and has been sanded on the outside where I need to pick it up, which is wonderful. There are no sharp metal edges that might poke out through the wood, and also, it is put together with screws, not nails or staples. The size seems just right to me: big enough for a shovelful of dirt, but not too large or heavy to carry.

Solid product quality. The metal mesh is thick and great at holding up when breaking down compost balls. Aaccidentally scraped the wooden frame a few times with my spade but there's no damage at all. Very easy to clean, just rinse down with a hose and scrub with a brush.

I've grown tired of cheap items manufactured overseas that do not stand the test of time. I am at that point where I would rather pay up for quality.This is very well-constructed and feels like it will last me for many, many years. It also is made here in the USA, which I love. I may add some handles to the frame later, but I am very happy with the product as-is.
