Tomy Lamaze Pupsqueak, Multicolor

Captain calamari is really cute, but I was looking for new born toys and it is labeled to be good from birth, the octopus is so big that I doubt my 7 week old girl will be able to play with it any time soon, but I’m certain she will enjoy it in a few weeks/months, once she is able to actually hold this big toy

My baby loves the mirror so much...it helps stimulating infents and encourages them to play... specially now a days with corona ... I cover the stroller with a blanket so she is not directly exposed .... so I hang this toy and it keeps her occupied and happy interacting with it.

Its not original I received the octupus without the eyepatch removable

My 7 month old grandson choked on the stuffing that came out of this toy. The head managed to come away somehow from him playing with it and he turned blue and was violently sick due to swallowing the stuffing .this is supposed to be a toy for young children . I brought this because I thought it was a well known company and it would be safe .

Captain calamari we mainly bought for the name but it is a wonderful Lamaze toy and now a firm favourite with our five month old. The mirror under the legs is excellent as well as the eye patch which has a starfish under which my five month old enjoys looking under as we play peekaboo. The eight legs have different materials and textures. We have a few Lamaze and this one ranks after Freddie firefly but before Tilly twinkle wings and flapping Fiona.

Let's be honest - I totally bought this due to the name. Who doesn't find Captain Calamari a great name? While not my daughter's favourite toy, she does enjoy playing (and talking!) to it. The tentacles in particular are ideal for small hands, and the noises that other parts of the toy make manage to keep her attention for a little while.

Our baby has spent many happy hours playing with this. I don't understand what babies see in toys, but whatever it is this has it in spades. He loves the crinkly hat and arms, rattly shaker, easy plastic grabbers, mirror on the bottom. It is just perfect, the designers must have spent lots of time tinkering and perfecting each and every little detail. It'll last forever, too.

Bought this for my 4 month old grandson as an alternative to the other Lamaze Butterfly. He loves Captain Calamar, the colours are eye catching and he loves to grab hold of the tentacles ! I like the size, it is a generous sized toy for a baby, soft and not too heavy for very young hands. The different sounds keep his attention too! The eye Mask is so cute! Would make a lovely gift for any new baby.
