Excellent!!!
I am a woman with fairly small hands, not tiny, just small (3 inches across my palm, 6-inch circumference, thumb not included). The medium fit nicely with plenty of room for wiggling my fingers, with the accompanying wool gloves on underneath. I could easily grip anything I wanted to grip. I was concerned about that because one reviewer stated the medium was too large. Size small is not offered. For Men with large hands, you may want to go up one size. I was pleasantly surprised at how durable and well-made these mittens are, especially for the price. The deer skin is waterproof yet pliable and the leather does not harden after drying. The added wool gloves are nice. The mittens themselves, as many reviewers have pointed out, are already lined without adding the wool gloves, but the gloves add extra warmth. With or without the wool gloves, these mittens are not bulky. I like them. Glad I took a chance. Recommended.

Best Mittens EVER!!! Super Warm!!!
These mittens are so nice! The deerskin is so soft and they are really warm! I am a woman so I ordered a medium and they fit me perfect. They’re roomy enough for hand warmers and a thicker liner if I ever need them. These gloves are high quality….extremely well made. I can’t believe they’re so reasonably priced. I will be purchasing another pair to keep at work.

Great choppers. Very warm - They run small
The puppy ate my old pair of choppers so I needed replacements. These are very warm. I wore these for 2 hours outside in -5°F last week and my hands weren't cold. I have Raynaud's and spend lots of time outdoors in Minnesota winters, so a good pair of gloves is important for me. I would highly recommend these. They come with a liner sewn into the leather plus the wool insert. They do run small. I would suggest buying a size up from what you expect. My old pair was a "large" and was even larger than the XL pair of these.

Well made, but could go larger, with a warmer liner
Glad I got the 2XL - figured that would be huge enough to add a thicker liner mitt if needed. Well...JUST barely! I would usually wear a L or XL, but went big for extra room, glad I did! The provided liner mitt is a pretty thin wool knit. Was able to swap it out for a thicker fleece glove, or even a double layer wool mitt, but just barely! The leather mitt actually has a sewn-in liner. Tag states a waterproof membrane and some insulation in that liner. Just wish it was a larger shell.

Hands Down, Best Mittens
These mittens are even better than expected. They don't mention this in the description, but the leather is actually lined and then there is are the seperate, wool mitten liners. This makes them seriously warm! You may not actually need the wool mittens most of the time if the weather is above 20 degrees F. Trust me, I have Reynaud's Syndrome and I am practically wearing fingerless gloves 9 months out of the year to keep my fingers from going numb- These gloves are well worth it. I previously had a pair of LL Bean leather mittens with wool liners and the Guide Gear Mittens undoubtedly win. Period. This kinda makes me sad cuz I'm from Maine... IYKYK ;)

Great quality, for less money.
Guide Gear Mittens are excellent quality for the money, the liners are thick and warm and great for Minnesota winters! I do a lot of 5 to 6 mile hikes in all temperatures, and these mittens are good into the low teens above zero.

Very Warm with a good fit
I had a worn out cow hide pair, similar to the deerskin leather mittens that I used for over 40 years. The deerskin leather mittens kept my hands warm at -15 F during the winter of 2024 while I was blowing snow. I would buy these again. Fit was perfect.

So soft and warm
I bought these for someone who had trouble getting on gloves due to a disability. These mittens are super soft and warm and so easy for anyone with disabilities to put on. I would highly recommendTo anyone.
