Why buy ANYTHING else?
Usually, you get what you pay for. Not here: This is the cheapest AND the best tire plug for tubeless tires on bikes.I have used the more expensive versions of this, the dynaplug (with the pointy end) and many others, none come close, and the fact that this one is just cheap is the cherry on top. Here why:- It's light and small, you can even store that in your handle bar (I do!)- The driver is just fine, it doesn't break, it's long enough- The bacon strips are superior to other plugs: They auto seal in case of subsequent impacts, they're light and tiny, they do no leave residue or metal in your tire that'll damage your rim, they're surprisingly durable and finally they can fix holes caused by the rim (e.g. dinged rim with a sharp end) by laying them sideways.- It's extremely simple to useI've fixed 2 bikes this week from fellow riders being stranded, and quite a few before that. They all bought this tool and threw away what they had before. This told me I had to come back to this tool just to write a glowing review, because it deserves it.

You need this.
If you mountain bike, you need to carry one of these kits. Let me repeat myself: You, yes YOU, NEED to carry one of these. Even if you don't partake in high-velocity trail shredding, you need one of these. If you even just own a tubeless bike, you owe yourself to buy one of these.Trust me, nothing sucks quite like being out in the field, having the time of your life, when you hear that awful hissing sound. I heard it a few days ago, when I tried to jump a curb on my mountain bike. I put a little too much stank into it a little too soon, and instead of gracefully hopping onto the curb and rolling along, I smashed my back tire into the corner of the curb with the force of a thousand suns. I ended up with two holes, one in the middle of the tread, and the other in the sidewall. I did not have the kit on me at the time, and so instead of being able to quickly patch it and cautiously roll home, I had to walk/carry my bike two miles back home. What was supposed to be a quick 1-or-2 hour outing ended up being more like 3 1/2 hours, I missed dinner, and was forced to speak to previous classmates. So in other words, evening ruined. These little strips are essentially rubber glue and fibers, which you punch through the hole and allow to fill in the gaps. They are TACKY, and I mean it. So long as the hole isn't gargantuan, they'll path you right up and buy you enough time to roll home. They're far from a permanent fix, and aren't intended to be used as such. But for what they are, they work well. Don't blow your money on a more expensive kit - you won't find anything different there. This kit has all you need for the best price on Amazon.

Great item and a great price.
I have used these for a few years now and they are a great simple essential to have in your mountain biking bag. I know that there are a number of other types out there but these appear to be the cheapest I have found on Amazon. The product is relatively simple, but it gets the job done when you need it the most. I have yet to find a small tubeless puncture that I couldn't close with these. Obviously a larger punctures would need a larger plug and these might not suffice but nevertheless for under 10 bucks how could you go wrong. One small detail is if you ride a lot and you sit in your bag they can get relatively sticky to the plastic film.

Works well!
Works well for punctures, the bacon strips seem to seal well and the insertion tool stows well, I keep both in an old prescription bottle.

Perfect Size
I hope that I never have to use it but this little thing is the perfect size to fit anywhere!

Tire-saver! No joke!
Two tires in our little fleet of mountain bikes were salvaged after using these weird little plugs. My beautiful new Niner chubby bike—I ripped a hole in my tire as I descended a rowdy downhill that was big enough to let pretty much all the air out immediately. I didn’t know these plugs existed so I didn’t have them in my pack but used a tube to finish my ride. Looking at our local bike shop for a new tire bc the Stan’s alone wasn’t cutting it, the great clerk pointed these cool do-hickeys our to us. Ran home and plugged it and IT HELD!! No way! Now I have these in my pack and while road-tripping and mountain biking along the way we were in Bentonville when my husband’s tire ripped a hole 1/4” across in his fairly worn tire. Plugged it up and got going within 15 minutes—no need for a tube. Do yourself a favor and include these in your pack’s tools. I bought two packages here on amazon just so we could both have them.

so far so good. works in the short term
I used a 'bacon strip' to seal a hole in a new road tire that would not seal with stan's. The strip is easy to put in. I cut off the extra and saved it. I have ridden 3 trips at 70psi and so far so good. I have read this is not a permanent fix, and I'm okay finding a better solution long term before replacing the tire. These are cheap enough I recommend all tubeless riders have them. I keep mine in a baggie with me.

Low Quality - Spend a few extra $$s to ensure you’re set on the trail
Plug does not fit into the space that is meant to push into tire, low quality. It’s worth getting a higher quality product for that one need it’s needed most, you’ll thank yourself in the future.

Es MUCHO más pequeño de lo que imaginé
Había visto varios aplicadores en tiendas y todos eran 2 o 3 veces más grandes que este, pero bueno, funciona bien y así es muy portátil.

Easy on road fix
I am now the veteran of four repairs to my tubeless tyres using these and it has become extremely simple and quick to do. The strips are sticky in the plastic container but just gently peel them off. They don't immediately fit through the eye of the application tool so you squeeze one end flat - easily done if you have something to press against such as a nearby piece of metal on a fence or such like but can be done between fingers or on a stone. once flat it will go through the tool eye, pull it gently half way though then - preferably with the tyre fully or part inflated so that you can see the hole clearly, place the tool over the hole and gently push until it punches through - push the tool down so that at least 50%, perhaps more like 70% of the plug is into the tyre and then gently pull it out leaving some of the sticky plug exposed. You can cut this down if able or simply ride and it will flatten and spread. I recommend not cutting it right to the tyre as the sticky plug flattening around the hole as you ride adds a layer of protection to the damaged area. Two repairs have lasted 6 months of regular use while one other was just to big a hole and eventually the plug popped out after some hard riding, I just stuck another in but will probably have to get a new tyre. Hope this practical experience helps someone.
