Bonmusica 17" Viola Shoulder Rest

I already have 2 Bonmusica shoulder rests, one for violin, the other for a standard 15 1/2 inch viola. I ordered this item for a larger viola and it is a fine fit. Obviously, as a repeat customer, I am very pleased with the Bonmusic shoulder rests, and have recommended them to other musicians. They are sturdy, reliable, easy-to-adjust, and comfortable. Definitely worth it!

I've got a long neck for someone my size, so I was really glad when a private instructor of mine turned me on to Bonmusicas. I'd been using a different shoulder rest for my violin for a couple of years and ended up with neck and shoulder problems - I switched it to a Bonmusica and the problems practically disappeared. Then I ordered a larger one for my viola (it's technically 16.5", but it's pretty wide at the bottom, so I had to order it a 17" shoulder rest).I love these things. Worth every penny.

Love the shoulder rest. I've been using these for maybe 10 years. It is flexible and very adjustable, except for the width across the lower bouts. I can make it low, like I like, and the end hooks over my shoulder so no slipping. It's relatively light.They SHOULD sell them by the dimension they actually fit, not by the length of the instrument!! Violas vary widely.I use the 17" for my viola which is 9,75" across the lower bouts ( my viola is 16.25" long).

This shoulder rest is the most comfortable shoulder rest I have ever owned. It relieved all of the back pain I was having, and it gives you a wonderfull feeling of security.
