DIY Stone Bonding Kit: Includes 50 lbs. River Gravel and 24 oz. Gravel-Lok Bonding Liquid

I have a very large winding path in my yard that was professional done using river rock and Gravel-Lok. Over the years stone has come loose, some areas more than others. That is to be expected. I saw this kit and since it was river rock, I purchased it to fill in the areas where the original rocks were gone. This kit is super easy, however, the rocks are very, very small. Not smooth like river rock. The plastic scoop broke immediately. You are to use it to tamp down the stones. You need a heavy duty metal tamper, because once the rocks hardened in place, some stones were very sharp. I wish it were clear that these are very small stones and not rounded and smooth, like pea gravel and river Rock. I think it is crushed River Rock. I love the Grave- Lok product, but not this kit.

Worked great. I needed to cover a small area where the dog kept digging up the wires for the driveway gate while hunting chipmunks. She's a big dog and would move the cement blocks to get back to wires. This worked perfectly. Dog can't dig and now doesn't want to since rodents can't get through it either. Was super easy to use and very nice that kit is self contained. Great product. Didn't get 5 stars because it's expensive. It's basically $50 in materials and doesn't cover that much. Perfect for what I needed but thought I'd have more leftover. Covered a 10 inch strip about 5 ft long.

I used Gravel-Lok to surround paving brick stepping stones. Just bought the liquid and used local pea gravel rather than this kit. It worked very well, mixing and placing easily. Has lasted two seasons and holding up fine. Will use again.
