ASICS Women's Gel-Nimbus 22 Running Shoes

I've gained some weight this year and when I started walking again I realized that I wanted a shoe with more padding and comfort than my old shoes. I sought out a shoe with support and padding and these shoes kept appearing in my searches. They are very supportive with lots of padding. The upper is incredibly breathable to the point where- while it's very solidly made- if I wear brightly colored socks I can see the color through the top. I only encountered two issues- first, these ran a little small for me. Nothing major. I returned my first pair and sized up half a size. I tend to straddle the line between normal and wide sizes, and I went with a wide with these- they fit perfectly. Secondly, they *really* rubbed the back of my ankles for the first couple of weeks (around 60 miles of brisk walking?). I'm far from a hardcore runner and am new at buying nicer shoes, but I put some moleskin on my ankles until I'd broken the shoes in and now they're perfect!

So my first pair of ASICS were the nimbus 16’s. I fell in love. They were the most comfortable shoe I had EVER worn and boy, did I put the miles on them walking (I’m not a runner, I’m a walker). When I went to buy them again, I learned that ASICS puts out a new model every year and now I could get a nimbus 19, but no 16’s remained, anywhere. I was so disappointed. Ryka, my former fav, does this too and completely ruined my former “best ever” shoe. That’s why I went in search in the first place and found ASICS. The 17, 18, and 19 were all rated poorly by 16 lovers so I tried another pair of rykas, which I hated. Finally, along cane these shoes. They are fantastic!!! Super comfy right from the start. 6.5 wide too, perfect fit (my normal shoe size). They actually propel you forward as you walk, which is what my 16s and original Rykas did. SUCCESS!!!! Thank you!!!!!

I really truly love these shoes. I got them specifically for my plantar fasciitis due to wearing my former favorites (converse) for years and years and it finally took its toll on my poor feet. I have a very high arch and converse is well flat as all get out. So reading reviews on these to help PF, I said what the heck and bought them! I have not had any foot issues since I’ve been wearing them everyday and clean them up hen I need to. I haven’t had any fasciitis inserts ot had to wear the boot or anything for my feet. These shoes were a godsend and I loved them so much as did my dear sweet mum, she tried mine on and said she liked how they felt. So I bought her, her very own pair. ❤️ Keep making these great shoes ASICS! And make more colors!!! I used to go to a shoe or nike outlet and get something that was on sale.. I thought, it was normal when ur feet/ heel hurts after being on your feet for like a half a day.. until I had this. This is amazing! Not a hint of pain even when I walk all day. My legs would go tired before my feet hurt. Very snug, a lot of ankle support, well cushioned, breathable on the top (like mesh- no good when raining). The size comes in a little tight.. will be my go to shoes, totally worth the price. Love it!

Terrific shoes!! These we’re recommended for people who suffer from Plantar Fasciitis. I have had pain in the past, and try to wear shoes that won’t cause me issues. These check every box. They have great arch support, are heavily cushioned, and hold my heel right where it needs to be. I have very wide feet, and when I took these out of the box I thought they looked narrow, but they have lots of stretch in the toe box and are extremely comfortable. The only issue (& reason I deducted one star) is I can’t find anymore in my size. This happens way too often. Why the need to keep “improving” on a great shoe?

I’ve been wearing some form of ASICS Gel for many years and this pair lives up to expectations. I run around 25 miles per week, and my last pair of this model lasted around 6-7 months before I felt every toe worn in and in need of replacement, which is pretty standard. It’s not like I couldn’t continue wearing them, but I believe the cushioning breaks down and they lose their ability to absorb impact. I size up half a size in running shoes in most brands and did so for these as well. They are a perfect fit for me. I love the selection of colors and will probably continue to buy these for many years to come.

The Nimbus has been my go-to since 2013 and I have enjoyed all of them. The 18's went to a narrower toebox and generally narrow overall, which was fine, but did cause me some discomfort while breaking them in. The 22's feel much more like the first Nimbus's that I got years ago and I am so happy with them. I had no pain on the outside edges of my feet during my first wear, like I did with the 18's. It is interesting that these are "gender specific", as in they have a narrow scoop around the upper heel/lower ankle to keep them on the foot and supposedly something to do with the "trussic" for female gait. Not sure about that part, but my socks didn't slip down this time, and I felt great after my run/walk. I recommend these shoes. Comfy, padded and stable.

These are really comfortable running shoes. ASICS never let me down.

Super impressed with these Gel Nimbus 22’s! And with ATR Sports! The shopping was very quick, even considering the pandemic. The shoes fit amazingly; probably even better than any other model of Gel Nimbus’s I’ve worn over the last 15yrs. The heel is very protected and doesn’t slip out at all, which I found with some of their previous versions. I liked them so much, I ordered a 2nd pair as soon as I received these today. And can I tell you how incredibly wonderful they were to speak with when ordering my 2nd pair. So personable and accommodating. You really don’t find the attention from a company like that these days. It really stood out for me and made me smile. I will definitely choose ATR Sports first from now on, for my sporting needs.
