LixitL100 Water Faucet Automatic Fountain for Dogs and other Pets. (Pack of 2)

I recently purchased the Lixit L100 Water Faucet Automatic Fountain for Dogs, and I must say it has proven to be an excellent investment. This product has not only simplified my life but has also improved the overall well-being of my dogs. One of the standout advantages of this device is that it eliminates the need for outdoor water bowls that often become dirty and moldy. I no longer have to worry about my dogs drinking from stagnant, contaminated water sources, or constantly check and refill water bowls throughout the day. Both of my dogs took to the fountain immediately, and it has saved me both hassle and time.

Even the local PetSmart did not stock this item, a very important item for any dog owner, especially a large dog. This item saves so much work for the dog owner.

Our nipple leaked from the very beginning and still does. For us, this turned out to be helpful as it kept the nipple from freezing up this winter and made training our pup to use it easier. I would buy this again, even with the leaking (we're on a well, so no water bill). Our pup loves it so much, she prefers it over a water bowl.

Whenever she is outside and thirsty, she drinks as much water as she wants. This is a very handy gismo.

Six months ago, I would’ve given this 3, maybe 4 stars because although it seems like it would work, my dog (Jack Russel) had zero interest in using it. For weeks I constantly showed him how to use this in every way I could think of, and he refused to even go near it.Then we got Roxy. A completely spastic Woodle, who seems about as smart as a box of rocks, albeit a very cute and cuddly box of rocks. I showed Roxy how to use it one time and never thought about it again.About two months later, we were outside and their usual water bowl was empty. Roxy walked right up to the faucet and started using it correctly.Now I keep a water bowl under the faucet so that what drips out while she drinks can be drank by my stubborn Jack Russell, who refuses to use it. Sometimes I think he even send her over there to use it so that he can drink out of the bowl when he’s thirsty.So if you get this, and it does not work, the blame lies on you and your dog, and not the faucet itself. Just get yourself on Woodle and put a bowl under it.

Our dog loves this item but it continually leaks. Gasket was checked and it’s warped. I bought one before and it lasted a year. This one lasted one month and it doesn’t appear that I can return. Bummer…

So, I bought this in May '11. My dogs love it! At the time I bought it , I only had one dog - a GSD. She didn't take to it very quickly, but once she figured it out, she's stopped drinking from the water bowl inside. This, is absolutely awesome for me. No more wet floors, no more having to fill up the bowl, and no more dirty water. I eventually stopped putting down the water bowl, and for almost a year now, she's been drinking exclusively out of the Lixit outside. Not long after my GSD had gotten used to drinking out of this, I got a rottweiler puppy. He didn't get it at first either, until the GSD showed him. He instantly understood. He's never (after the first day I got him) drank from anything other than this (and the toilet). Now, last week, I got another puppy. She watched the other two dogs drinking from this and took to it immediately.I can't say enough good about this device. Since the pipe that I have this attached to goes straight down, and into the ground, the water is usually nice and cold. Living in Florida, and having a dog door that's open 24/7, this is the perfect solution. The automatic water bowls pale in comparison. My dogs always get unlimited cold, clean water and I don't have to worry a bit about it!The design of this is impressive too. It's all metal, VERY sturdy, and extremely simple. I read that the design had been around since the 60's unchanged.If you want unlimited clean water for your dogs at all times, just buy this! I'd say get two or three even if you don't have a place to put it that's 100% shaded all day, otherwise I'd imagine it would get hot.

Enseñas a tu perro a tomar de este producto y jamas le volveras a servir agua. gran producto. ya tenia uno pero se lleno de sarro despues de 6 años de uso y decidi comprar uno nuevo, seguramente el anterior se puede limpiar y quedar como nuevo

Fini le soucis de la gamelle d’eau qui traîne ou qui se renverse mon chien à de l’eau à volonté

I have had a Lixit for many many years, and all of our dogs have quickly learned to use it with no problem, right from young puppies. We always have large/giant size breeds (St Bernards, Newfoundlands, Golden Retrievers, Great Pyrenees etc) and they are always satisfied with the water flow. Would not be without our Lixit!!

Muy pracito y funciona fenomenal, el perro aprendió a beber rápido. No le doy 5 estrellas porque el paso de la rosca no es como el que usamos en Europa y hay que ponerle cinta blanca para que ajuste bien
