Not Mac Compatable
To upgrade firmware their website reads you need to connect to a PC. This means it is not truly compatible with Mac. It has stopped working with Mac OS 12.6 - Monterey.

Decent entry level desk webcam – no fisheye effect
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this webcam after having tested another quite good one from the competition. However, that other webcam had fisheye lens, which meant it was great for web conference rooms, but left me looking ridiculous when sitting at my desk for one-to-one meetings with a colleague. So I bought the Depstech webcam precisely because it wouldn’t have this “wide-angle” feature. And indeed the shots are much narrower, the background features straight and I don’t look like I live in a fishbowl anymore. So: much more adapted to that purpose. The picture quality has nothing to write home about however. The colours are greyish (again, compared with the other similarily-priced, in fact cheaper, webcam, in the exact same locations and lightnings) – think unrestored movie from the 70s. The picture accuracy itself ranges from adequate at short range when sitting at my desk (2 ft), to frankly very poor at a distance in a web conference setting (7 ft). On the plus side, the contrast with lateral light sources is handled slightly better with the Depstech webcam. The mic is just about okay, only marginally better than my laptop integrated mic. It sounds a bit muffled, neither better nor worse than the other webcam, only a different style of mediocre (more white noise, slighly crispier). It becomes very faint as soon as you sand further than 3-4 ft, unlike the other webcam which manages to adapt its sound capture better. The hardware itself on the other hand is excellent. It swivells on its grip, not just rotating but in all directions including tilt front back right and left. The grip is firm without being stiff. It comes with a basic tripod, which won’t weather any storm, but will do its job if you secure it on a stable area. It looks quite stylish and not too geeky, I think. The atttached video was captured direct with OBS software with no filter applied. Bear in mind that Amazon reviews compress the videos, so the resolution you get is not representative. The sound, the framing and the colours on the other hand should be.All in all, a resonable choice at under £30 if you’re only looking for a close-range desk webcam.

Well made budget webcam
The media could not be loaded. Great value for money webcam, well-constructed and seems robust. The fixed focus camera has a fairly narrow field of vision which is ideal for online meetings where you don’t want participants to see the whole room. The camera performs well in low light, artificial light and daylight. Tested the webcam with Microsoft Teams and Skype and no issues; the camera is plug and play straight out of the box. Also included is a mini tripod and privacy lens for the camera, although there is a light on the front to indicate when the camera is in use. The only negative is the quality of the inbuilt microphone isn’t great; it’s fine for online meetings but it’s not the loudest or the highest quality. See the video which was made with the webcam to give you an idea of image quality / sound (aware that amazon compresses videos so might not be a true representation). Overall though it should fit the needs of most users for the likes of online meetings and video calls.

Mic not great but camera is
The mic on it is rubbish as it produces an irritating buzzing sound on playback however the camera is good quality and shows up well.

Great budget webcam
The media could not be loaded. Well built webcam that's perfect for work meetings. I chose this for its 65 degree field of view lens because I didn't want my whole office (and colleagues) to be in the shot. I've tested it in both daylight and artificial light and it handles both well. As you can hear from my video review, the microphone is serviceable but not amazing, but if you're using a third party microphone (as most people do), then this is a non-issue. My attached video review (and photo) was captured using Windows10 own camera app and has not been edited. I would recommend this webcam based on value for money, build quality, simplicity of use and picture quality. EDIT: After posting I now realise that the video compression on Amazon means that the quality of my video review does not reflect real life use.

Easy to use 65 Degree Webcam
The media could not be loaded. This is a simple plug a play easy to use Webcam. The great thing about it is that it has a Narrow field of vision, 65 Degrees. This is very handy if you are online and you don't want everything in your background on view. Most webcams have got a 100-120 Degree field of vision, which is very wide, and will take in nearly everything behind you. So for a tighter picture and more privacy this is the one for me. The HD image is not a sharp as other cameras I have but it is more than adequate for what it is used for.

Great quality, narrow field of view
I searched hard for a good value webcam that was 1080p resolution and more importantly without a wide angle. It baffles me how the camera manufacturers don't seem to realise many people don't want a wide angle. This a good 65 degrees which means no distorted faces or showing too much of my background. For the price paid, this gives a pretty good image, no idea about its audio as I use a microphone. I would have given this five stars if it could do 60 fps but this would do.
