Short Strings
The strings on the sticks are really short, so can barely use them on the xylophone.

It's a CROCenspiel
The media could not be loaded. This is definitely a Fisher Price kids toy.The "Xylophone" is actually a crocodile shape made out of plastic. The keys are actually buttons that light up and play the note when pressed or tapped. When turned on there are also some buttons built into the side that play some prearranged tunes. The kid playing can also tap along with their own accompanying... music. It's not really a Xylophone as it requires to be turned on to work - it's what we are dubbing a Crocenspiel. It's fairly well made and durable, but with a noticeably plastic build. The included hammer is ok, but you don't actually need it to play with. This thing can be loud and annoying in the correct little hands. So while I think this is a great toy for a little kid - I would importantly specify that it should be a gift for SOMEONE ELSES little kid.Parents reading this will know what I mean. 😉

Brilliant
The media could not be loaded. This is really awesome! My little one absolutely loves it. It has 3 music note buttons you press and they play songs and all the keys light up as well. It’s really bright and colourful and the sound has 2 settings so it can be loud or quiet. It’s a really great toy!

Nice toy but has issues
Nice music toy that is bright and colourful. However there are two issues. Firstly the sticks are attached with string, which don't even read the keys for use, so I cut the stings off. Much better. Secondly you have to hit the keys hard in order to make a sound. It's much easier pressing them, which my child has found out so won't use the sticks anymore. It's nice. But just buy a keyboard instead.

Is this a official Fisher price toy? 🐊
I am a little bit confused with this item - it’s not listed as a Fisher Price toy but when it arrived it’s looked like a fisher price toy (Box brand etc)The listing don’t mention Fisher price at all so I’m thinking is it actually an official Fisher Price toy ?It’s a Xylophone shaped as a crocodile and your typical Fisher Price toy - Bright colours, well made, includes fun and learning all in one toy.Has 6 colourful bars that you can tap with the hammer that is included which makes different sounds effects and there are many songs also included

Perfect for the little musician in the family -- recommended!
This is a fisher-price crocodile xylophone which arrives in an attractive cardboard box (without cellophane/clear plastic) making it very giftable. The crocodile is a good size, being slightly longer than a standard ruler, and is made from colourful and robust plastic. Sticks are included, on string so you cannot lose them, and are stored behind each set of the crocodile's legs. One other reviewer commented that the sticks are short but I personally feel they are the ideal length for a toddler; this toy is for 3 years plus. The toy needs three AAA batteries (installed/included) but when you need to change them there is a compartment that needs to be unscrewed. The on/off and volume control is on one side at the base of the tail. Above it is three musical note buttons which when pressed produce a variety of music/sounds. There are six colourful light-up keys to play on the top of the croc (with or without the sticks). This toy is ideal for little musicians who love to make music, sing songs or make sounds. I am very pleased with this toy and feel the price point of £16.99 (at time of review) is very reasonable too. I am therefore happy to recommend.

Great for 6-18 months
Great toy for very young toddlers. Won't keep interest of a 3-year-old for long but I think it is great for 6 months and up to 1.5 year old children. It is bright, loud but not tio loud, good for colour recognition. It is quite light on batteries, we did not have to replace those yet and have had this toy for a month now. Sturdy and cute, big enough to be good for babies, small enough to fit it into an overloaded toy box. You'll need to detach the drumsticks as tge strings are too short.

Quick Reviews!
I was expecting this to be more like a traditional percussive xylophone, but its keys are more like a Fisher Price keyboard. Nicely this allows the buttons to light up in different colours when pressed and the crocodile itself is a cool design and sturdy build. It's a little limited from a musical perspective and the cords attached to the drumsticks are not as long as they should be, but a toddler can bash it with glee for a while and get plenty of enjoyment out of it.
