Protects the watch for sure..Quality is really good, very solid and thicker than any other brand; however, it scratched my watch from the sides because it is plastic on the inside.Looks very bulky, so if you wanna make your watch look bigger on your wrist, this is the strap for you, unless you have the stainless steel or the titanium, which might get scratched from the plastic lining on the inside of the strap.. would still recommend the spigen rugged armor..

I’m a somewhat petite woman and work trades, I’ve been using this band for a few weeks. It definitely isn’t pretty, it’s down right bulky (looks HUGE on my wrist, most men’s wear looks disproportionate and dorky on me), but seems to protect my watch a lot better than the normal silicone bands. The ridges around the edges keep chunks of debris from hitting it and scratching the surface, and it provides a lot more protection to the speakers and other buttons. I think dust is less likely to collect in the groves and corners. It’s also fixed the problem where I accidentally push and hold the round knob when I lean on my wrist. I just keep a second watch band for going out, as it’s got a really rough, masculine look to it (definitely not “pretty”). It’s easy to pop out and swap bands.
