Very poor camera and connectivity.
The connectivity over wifi is a major issue. Even the wired connection has hiccups… wish i had gone for a better brand.

I love these Foscam cameras
I love these Foscam cameras. The Foscam Cloud application is garbage but you only need it to do first-time setup. Then you can ignore it and use the web interface. You can also configure this thing to do FTP uploads to a website on a timed basis which is a great low-bandwidth way to glance at a live snapshot of a location. The SD card local storage works well and, if you set it to record motion detected video only, it should last a long time for most applications. It has sound-triggered recording as well as motion but I find that useless in most situations, and since the recordings are stored separately, you can end up wasting a lot of space on double-recording. The difference between the Lite version and the full C1 is negligible if you don't need the night vision lamp. I have a bunch of both and I decide mainly on whether I want black or white. I've been experimenting recently with cheap webcams but I always come back to Foscam in the end. Superb value proposition.

Calidad Precio espectacular

Awesome, works wonders with synology surveillance station, smooth, stays connected, behaves, looks nice. buy one!
At last! I've had a number of IP cameras over the years and took a punt thinking 'wow that's cheap' and I am very impressed. It is worth more than it costs IYAM. Great packaging and a nice looking product. Smaller than you think. The camera stands about 12cm tall and 7cm wide. On the back there is a blanking plate where the Ethernet 'could / should / might?' be. it is moulded as part of the case, though you can see a line around it, I tried to pop it out but no luck, whether there is an ethernet behind it I can be sure. Instructions suggest there is ethernet but I think the removed it on the lite and it is wifi only... not sure?Set up was genuinely simple, I used my Android phone, scanned and got it connected. I found that the viewer via browser is pretty rubbish, the plug-in took a million attempts to run on Windows 10 and looks a bit dodgy but eventually worked, allowing me to get into the settings. I would mark it down for this but am so impressed I'll pretend I started with 6 stars, and also of course the web apps for the other cameras also suck just as much too.Connecting to my Synology Surveillance Station was a breeze once I realised I had to tick the enable Onvif button in the camera settings, then bish-bash-bosh it is running fine. I have email alert set up on my NAS to send alerts / snapshots. I know you can apparently do from the camera but it makes sense for me to use NAS instead, and its much easier - I therefore didnt try this on the camera but assume it works, looks the same as EasyN where you have to enter all the email settings and it 'should' work. Having then configured backup of the recording folder to google drive I then get real time upload of the video to my CCTV folder in google drive to view recorded activity remotely (yes I could sign into the NAS but that may have just been stolen by the bad guys). The Foscam app works fine and remote viewing is smooth. It's odd though since I disabled DDNS, I'm not sure where else I have to click to stop it being accessible from the Foscam app?? not really an issue but interesting it is still visible. It is very sensitive, my cat walking across the patio triggers it through a window in shot. I like that, it is what I need. It isnt over sensitive where it gets triggered by shadows.Tips:1. You cannot reserve IP address for this from your router, therefore within the camera settings assign an IP address outside of your routers DHCP range and you'll then have static with no future conflicts.2. Change your password for remote viewing. It is imperative for your privacy and security.3. If you are using with your Synology you must enable Onvif on the camera, you can then add the camera. If you dont do this it will keep disconnecting. simple fix but took forever to work out - tell all your friends :)Yep. very good indeed. I would definitely buy another, though I think I'll go with the C1 which has night vision for my second one. Added security at night time.
