Kill Control Fire Ants Fire Ant Bait Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Killer Bait 1.5lbs

I'm usually a bit skeptical of the effectiveness of insect bite. We live in North Central Texas and deal every year with fire ants and carpenter ants. I decided to try this product as this year was particularly difficult and my other methods; disrupting their colonies, boiling water, etc was not doing the job. After applying a light continuous ring of bait around the opening to an ant hill they were gone 3 days or less. This stuff works!

By far, the best ant mound killer I have ever used. I live in the country where ants thrive. I’ve tried many types of products to kill the ants. Even all natural homemade ones. Over night this product killed large mounds. They didn’t just move , they died. Thank you for this product.

This seems to be effective, if not completely so. I live in Texas so fire ants are common. I take a daily 5 mile walk through a wooded park near my home, and I sprinkle ant killer on any mounds I encounter. My idea is to try to reduce the population before it reaches my immediate neighborhood. This has eliminated a lot of nests I sprinkled but some mounds have recovered. I suspect I did not put enough down on those. I am buying a second container and will continue the good fight although I know that fire ants, like all evil things, can never be completely eradicated.

I've used Extinguish multiple times before and works great on repelling fire ants. However, this time when I bought a 1.5 lb container, it felt light. I weighed on my kitchen scale and the entire package including container weighed only 1.15 lbs. Missing nearly 1/3 of product as advertised. Bought a competitor's product that label states as net 5lbs. Checked that package weight as well on kitchen scale - it was as advertised.

Item has a slight clump to it. Just enough that I had to use a setting of 3 instead of the recommended 1 on the hand held spreader I was using. Scotts Handygreen II. Otherwise it spread rather easily once the setting was done. Time will tell on the performance. The small amount I put on the ant mounds was gone the next day. I usually use Amdros bait which is effective on the mounds. This came recommended so I am giving it a try. The granules are smaller and distributed evenly.

Does a good job controlling. It takes a day or two for full effect. Killed the whole mound without pop ups around it.

This worked great! I put it on 3 fairly large ant hills in my yard and the ants are gone. Hopefully they won't come back.

Haven’t used product yet but it comes highly recommended. Received an unsealed container with what seems to be a very small amount of product when compared to the size of the container. For the price of the product I would expect at least a 3/4 full container.
