Dreadful book
I do not understand how this book could be produced. It is awful, I would not let any of my children read it, for fear of them viewing themselves as worthless. It is also very negative about parents and I think could do more damage than good. Do not bother buying, you will only send it back once you have opened the first page. I wish I'd saved myself the trouble and taken notice of the negative reviews, they are accurate!

Had the opposite effect. My daughter felt I was telling her she wasn't brilliant!
I'm afraid we haven't even been able to mention this book, let alone read it. I bought this for my 12 year old daughter as she has been feeling quite sad and angry all year. I hoped that a book geared towards teens would help her to feel as though many of her feelings as she becomes a teenager were perfectly normal. However, when I showed her the book, as soon as she saw the title, she fell into floods of tears and asked why she needed a book on how to be brilliant and says buying it has made her feel rubbish about herself, as though she's not good enough. I feel awful! So be careful when considering buying this book. The good intention may backfire as it has with us.

Not Brilliant Book
I would not recommend this book. It contains vulgar language and assumes that the reader is an idiot and is wasting their life. Some of the quotes aren’t good. However, it does have some good advice, mainly coming from other people in quotes. WARNING: Some of the quotes are worrying and have bad words.

Bought this for my granddaughter had a quick look and seemed a nice little book however I then spotted a page apparently quoting a famous singer which said Dying is easy it’s living that’s hard. Why on earth would the author this this is acceptable for our impressionable young people to read?? Needless to say I returned the book ….this has got to stop

You will not regret!
I bought this for my pre-teenager son, when I start to read it myself, I can’t put it down! A book full of wisdom, it suits adults, children, teenagers and all ages. When I had visitors home they noticed this Book on the coffee table, when they started to flipped through the pages, everyone said to me they love this book.I’m critical with books, but this one has totally got my vote!
