I've worn the same style of Hanes underwear for about five years now. The last pairs I bought are finally starting to lose their stretch and fit so I went looking for the same style. Wouldn't you know they stopped making them. These are the closest I could find after several tries but they aren't the same. The cut is different and has a tendency to bunch in the crotch and butt. The waistband is also different material and has more of a tendency to roll than the previous ones. The legs are also longer than the previous style and have a tendency to roll under your jeans. Like I said these are the best I could find, I just hope that they continue to make the style and correct the problems.

I wear pants with a 36" waist. About 50% of the size XL Hanes Boxer Briefs I've purchased over the past several years fit perfectly while the remainder are all TOO SMALL! Yet the Hanes size chart shows that I SHOULD be ordering size L! I tried L once and could not even get them over my thighs (which are neither over sized nor muscular -- I'm kind of a wimpy geek after all.)For reference, when I say 'fit perfectly' I mean essentially skin tight without the bottom of the legs riding up or the waist rolling down -- they fit comfortably and stay in place. When I say "too small" I mean a little tighter than the Speedo swimsuit I had in my youth and all of the openings are constantly "migrating" toward my crotch in an uncomfortable way.So, I recommend these, but I always need to buy one size larger than I actually am just to have a 50% chance that they will be big enough. If I buy more from Amazon, I hope they are prepared for returns after I try them on!

For years I have bought this brand/style of underwear, typically from Target.I find that the version of these I buy at target are super-soft and their fabric is thick (not in a bad way). I don't feel that the fabric is thin and will soon go threadbare.The version of these I buy on Amazon have thinner fabric. This is not a comfort issue but I worry about the long-term durability. Will they wear down quicker than the Target store brand? Time will tell.
