Interesting take on forgotten hero
It is typical Amish book, lots of battle description leading to depressive war. Good mix of historical facts with myth building and gripping story.

Amazing Historical-Fiction..
The Release of this Book, came as a surprise for me because Raavan has released just a few months back and another book was not expected so soon... But, the Surprise is always delightful when it comes from your favourite author...So, I ordered the book in the first hour of its release and started reading it as soon as it reached me...and then I came to Know that Amish has written this book in co ordination with Writers centre...The Genre of the Book is Historical-Fiction, and it is a story of King Suheldev, of his efforts to bring together a divided nation for the Sake of the beloved nation, to fight against the barbarian Turks under the leadership of Salar Maqsud...Now, the idea behind bringing this book is really good, the story is good, there are good twists and good fight sequences... and that is the thing it is "Good" not "Great".As for me I rate the book on the basis of Joy i feel on reading a book, so this book definately entertained me, the war scenes were good to read and the feel of reading about a hero's story was great too... so although it was not a 5 star read, but i can not give it less than 4/5.The other Characters of Toshani, Govardhan, Abdul, Ashwaghosh, Sanghmani are good too and they are all great warriors playing great part in the story,My final Conclusion is That this book is a good read and you will like it, just that the mythological fiction books have been so high that it is just a bit below that but yes, enjoyable...There is a slight Hint given at the end of the Book on the Next Book in the Indic Chronicles series, and that is expected to be a really exciting one too...Stories like these Do need to come out, because there have been a lot of Indian Warrior Kings and Queens Who have been erased from the memories of common peoples of India, and they deserve their stories to be told and we should read and Cherish them and if possible adapt some of their Qualities...So Kudos to the Author for deciding to bring these stories in Public View, and Now Let's Wait for the Next Book in this Series as well as in Ramchandra Series...Happy Reading...

An Exhilarating read
Suheldev of Shravasti, the Bandit Prince, the King who saved India from the barbaric Turkik hordes 😍. Well this is not one of the sole Amish books but rather is a product of the Immortals Writers' Centre. However, you will get the well known and unique Amish vibes being spread throughout the book though that is not as par with the Shiva Trilogy or the Ram Chandra series. Gifted to me by one of my closest friends, I had an incredible experience traversing through the pages of the book and continuing with the adventurous journey along with the Bandit Prince.Certain topics covered here including the political situation of the then India where the entire geography was politically divided into nunerous kingdoms and ruled by individual kings having no unity amongst themselves and always engaging in battles and brawls thereby making it easier for the Turkik soldiers to carry on their onslaught and plunder are told in a manner of distinctive conversation. That the only hobby of the Indians were to fight amongst themselves rather than fighting unitedly against the foreign powers made it easier for the foreigners to carry on their repeated invasion and assault over Mother India. The battles obviously as we had always seen in all other Amish books were explained having the minuscule details with the climax having the most intense Adrenalin rush involved. One thing again common in all of the Amish books and also here is the character of the female lead, in this book Toshani. Beautiful yet an excellent warrior. Though I would have been happy if Suheldev and Toshani married, giving their love story a happy turn. I didnt find that much space and time dedicated to their love story adding that the reason why Toshani refused to marry Suheldev was very blunt. Also there was this certain character Ashvaghosh, an excellent warrior monk, but his birth was shrouded in unnecessary suspense yielding in no fruitful results.Overall the book is a worth read. And also a re read atleast to me. The "Jai Ma Bhaaarati" war chant uniting the Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists and all before going off to war was the ultimate inspiration that would drive us to follow this resolution in today's India as well.

A javelin that subsided just inches behind its mark
First of all I would like to laud this effort in bringing to foreground the heroes whom we Indians have forgotten or rather were made to forget. No amount of gratitude can do justice to what King Suheldev did to ensure that our way of life survives the unimaginable onslaught we faced from countless barbarian hordes. The team has done a significant service to Bharat by telling this story.I have always felt that it is the intricate detailing that Amish embeds into his writing that makes his creations unputdownable. That in turn makes the reader take pride in his past, his origins, knowingly or unknowingly. And that for me is of foremost importance. Because we Indians have truly lost our way, and Amish is definitely one of the torchbearers who is guiding Indians of every age group to find their way back. But, I felt, the very detailing, which occupies the centre stage in his books, took a backseat in ‘Suheldev - The king who saved India’. The scenes seemed to lack a certain depth to them. They seemed somewhat peripheral, unlike in his previous books. It somehow felt that the author is trying to wrap up scene by scene and conversations by conversations quickly so that he can get to the main point. The visual connect that one normally gets while reading your books, was to some extent missing in this one. The character sketch in his books is normally so interesting and detailed that the reader can even guess how a particular character would react in a given situation. I felt, that too was lacking here, not completely though. I know this book isn’t Amish’s creation from beginning to end , unlike the previous ones. I know this was a collective effort, but since the cover still has his name, I feel it could have been better. And more importantly, the impact this book and King Suheldev could have had in the minds and hearts of the readers would have been much greater. Another matter that bothered me was the unnecessary need for balancing the cruelty committed by marauders by introducing an “identical twin brother” to tyrant, and that twin brother playing a key role in helping King Suheldev in defeating the invader. This need of sounding politically correct is something that dents creativity .In all the intent behind the book cannot be doubted and one cannot deny the fact King Suheldev is much more popular among readersof this generation because of the efforts of Amish and team. Sincere gratitude for that :)

One of the best historical books
Product arrived in perfect condition. Now about the contents of the book, I finished it in about 3 days. It's extremely indulging and tough to put down. Full of twists and turns and a suspense to match. Just go for it.
