As good as N* M*re N**ls - in a sealant gun format
Sika is a reputable make, although it doesn't (currently) enjoy the marketing presence of "No More Nails" and their cousins "Tough As Nails" etc. In use this product performed well, holding down flooring spacers and fixing skirting board in place.SF stands for "solvent free", so this is water-based, but that doesn't seem to have affected its performance - in the short term anyway. Come back in 10 years' time for a longevity report! The 300ml cartridge is intended for use in (what I call) a sealant gun, and this is perhaps where the "Nails" cousins have stolen a march on Sika, as their products can also be bought in screw-top tubes. The screw-top rivals seal better after each use and, in principle, could last longer if you only use this stuff occasionally. The cartridge has a red plastic cap that you jam on the end of the spreading nozzle after use, but my experience of these is that they let a small amount of air in, and eventually the adhesive cures in the nozzle, making it useless. The advantage of the cartridge format is, of course, that you get better control over application of the glue and will usually end up with a better finish - more evenly-spread adhesive than trying to squeeze it out of a tube by hand.Overall then, a good performer and cost-effective rival to more established brands, as long as you're happy living with the cartridge format - and using the contents up fairly quickly (over a few weeks, say).

Effective multi-purpose adhesive that is easy to use; short-dated in this instance
An adhesive that can be used to fix just about the widest list of different materials yet encountered. "Sika Maxtack Instant Grab SF - Multi-purpose adhesive and instant grab - 300ml - White" can also be used to attach something vertically, horizontally and even suspended from a ceiling or under a shelf. Suitable materials on which it can be used include metals, glass, ceramics, many plastics including PVC (presumably also UPVC in suitable situations), wood, paper and card, stone, concrete, cinder blocks, and insulation materials such as polystyrene foam, rockwool etc. It may be worth trying it on others not specifically listed. It was the supposedly more capable PRO version that was supplied in a standard cartridge complete with applicator nozzle and screw-down cap, allowing it to be used, sealed and re-used over a period, possibly a day or two when used within trades, either for a single major task, phases of one, or several smaller ones. It isn't a contact adhesive that needs be spread and allowed to become tacky, which can be time-consuming in cold weather, before bringing surfaces into contact but it can be applied around the edges of an object, as a continuous bead on a strip of material or dotted around in smaller beads on a larger and lighter surface. It offers instant grab which, in some instances, may require the two surfaces or objects to be held in contact (weighted, clamped or wedged), possibly when fixing something very lightweight, affixing it vertically or suspending it. Heavy materials such as stone or brick can rely on their own weight. In most instances it can be applied, the surfaces brought into contact and left to cure - no specific cure time or range is given but its 'skin time' (required to become touch-dry) of 30-40 minutes is suggested. With very infrequent use of a cartridge gun, only three times over several years, controlling the bead was not easy and it became untidy; others may find it easier to control. The product, when applied, is white. As, in most instances - over-application excluded - the adhesive will be totally hidden, its colour may not matter. Another Sika cartridge product was a rather tight fit in my non-Sika cartridge gun although it was eventually achieved, easing it into position; other guns may present a similar problem but a couple of mm can be trimmed of the cartridge if necessary. It is an effective adhesive which may sometimes be superior, and preferred, to long-established alternatives. It can even be used in the rain or applied under-water, should that be a requirement, something impossible with several alternative products - that may not be true of the standard product. It is solvent-free and essentially odourless, with no noxious or hazardous fumes to concern especially when used in confined, poorly ventilated areas. It can therefore be used when alternatives may not be ideal. Best of all, it is inexpensive.Although a potential shelf life of approximately two years is possible after manufacture, check the Best Before data on the cartridge - in this instance it was just 9 months!

Jolly Good Grabby Glue
I ordered this glue because I live in an old Victorian house in London and I'm constantly 'doing it up'. I like to source original features or plausible replacements, such as decorative carvings for door panels and dado rails etc. This glue works for me because it does exactly what it says on the tin. I slotted into a pre-purchased glue gun, cut off the top as per the instructions on the tube and that was it.The items had to be clean and roughed down a bit, standard practice for sticking things on walls, and the glue is solid enough to apply without drips. Once the item is in place, you have a short window of time to move it a bit.I particularly like the way Instant Grab can be used as a filler too, say for example when sticking a few imitation tiles in place. Once dry, I was able to sand down and over-paint, just as with any proprietary filler.Jolly good.

Short shelf life.
Use by date was October 2019. This is only 10 months. Not very good for something you may want to keep in stock for future jobs.Best if you only buy it when you have something that needs doing. In use it seems effective and is easy to apply.
