Q: What size candles are needed for this item? The candles I received are much too narrow & do not fit at all. Thank you.

I used 12" taper and melted the bottom so they would adhere to the stand.

Q: Can you use led candles?

I do not, but if the LED candle vases are the same diameter as a regular tapered wax candle, then those should work fine.

Q: Can any one verify if the workmanship has improved so that cups now stand straight and the candles are also standing straight?

The one I got was also bent and candles would not stand straight. No matter how I tried I could not get it to be straight. Too bad.
