Its good, just small.
Its small. The dye wont cover all your hair unless you have a buzz cut or something. It was very pigmented too. The vibrancy washed out after like 4-5 washes. Make sure to really bleach your hair to level 8-10 if you want the color to really show.

Exactly the shade I wanted and stayed for a while
I have thick black, curly hair, so I wasn’t sure which company would make the best dye suitable for me, especially since blue isn’t an easy color to achieve on black hair. But this product was very good, the blue does turn into green after a while but it stayed a good 5 weeks or so, I’d recommend if your hair sounds similar to mine but make sure to get strong bleach to go along with it

The color is nice but it caused pretty severe allergic reaction
Color wise it did exactly what I expected, which is pink highlights. My hair has 3 shades of blonde. My original color is dark ash blonde, I also got older beige blonde highlights, and new white highlights. My white highlights picked up the color perfectly, they are now pastel cotton candy pink. My beige blonde bits got a pastel rose gold tint, and my dark blonde hair didn't pick up the color at all. I did leave it on for an hour, and I only used 1 small jar for my hair, which is mid-back lenght. If I had a fully bleached hair I would have probably used two jars.Unfortunately my face got a pretty bad allergic reaction from this product, even though it only touched my face when I was washing it off in the shower....so that's a bummer. On a positive note, when I was washing the product off barely any pink washed out, so it didn't mess up the shower.

.
I ordered this product and it came pretty fast. When I opened it the safety seal between the lid and the actual product was covered in the dye, and when I opened the dye the top layer was completely dry. However, I made it work and used it on my hair. It was pretty good but it came to me in very rough shape.

Beautiful pigment but bleeds A LOT!
The pigment is strong and really gorgeous!! But the first two washes were a horror - my nails, bathtub, clothes - the color bled onto everything! About in the 4th or 5th wash, it stopped. Hair gets quite dry, which happens with hair colouring, but this made my hair more dry unlike other brands I have tried. Its a great buy for the strong colour. I bleached once before application. Colour has lasted for me for a month now. I would definitely try other colours.

Good
Nice color, but impossible to wash off, it turns green and stays that way, only bleach will remove it and even then undertones stays!!!

Love it!
With the reviews being hit and miss I bit the bullet and brought the product. I wanted a nice blue for my upcoming holiday but didn't want the colour to wash out too quickly before I jet off. I opted for the amplified version as it was stronger and would stay vibrant for longer (haven't washed it yet).I must say I did not do the dye job myself a friend of mine who is a hairdresser professionally bleached my hair up to a platinum blonde before applying the manic panic dye.I would suggest if you want the best results being a more pigmentation and solid coverage I would get your hair bleached professionally prior to using this 😊Also I would put some vaseline on the forehead and behind the ears to prevent staining as seen in the photo (photo taken immediately after dying) but the staining comes off easy with a facial cleanser or a bit of perfume on a cotton bud. Can't wait to see how it lasts and maybe try different colours in the future!

Stained countertops, used on grey roots
(See updates below)I have always heard great things about Manic Panic so decided to switch after years of using henna. I figured I would use a paintbrush and dye my grey roots, while leaving the length orange and brown. The bottle came well sealed but the label was covering the instructions. I used a brand new paintbrush and just dipped it in, applying liberally. No stranger to messy dye, I used gloves and kept my work area tidy. Even so, when I rinsed the paintbrushes off, any tiny bit of contact with the countertop resulted in permanent stains, even when I tried to wipe it away immediately. Tried borax and super washing soda combined with lemon juice. No luck. Tried scrubbing bubbles. Nada. Tried hydrogen peroxide. Also no. Manufacturer's web site has some recommendations such as Magic Eraser and/or acetone but we have neither of those. Before you start, test your workspace in a non-visible area and make sure you have a good cleaning solution for it before you start.Even so, I was very tidy. I even managed to keep the dye off of my scalp in most spots, except towards my temples where the hair is very fine. I have very thick hair and figured I'd test a top layer before bothering with lower layers. But I also did apply it fairly thickly on top. It looked great during application. I let it sit for four hours (after running strand tests and finding the white hair to be fairly stubborn if less than 4 hours). When I rinsed the initial dye out, this is what it looked like right away, while still wet. Basically, pink scalp with still white strands. To be fair, I didn't bleach it. I have knee-length hair and am not about to risk that kind of damage. Henna is far more effective and doesn't need to be bleached. You can see some orange henna strands toward the back from months ago. I usually use a tiny amount of acid with henna, such as vinegar or lemon juice, to help the dye absorb. I may try a mix of that on a strand test to see if there's a ratio that wouldn't cause harm.I don't want to give up on Manic Panic but it's ineffective so far and damaging to bathroom surfaces. That said, it smells neutral, which is a lot better than henna. It's also nice that it's premixed and not as much of a royal mess, though at least henna doesn't permanently stain countertops/tubs.I had been hoping to go for buying purple, red, and blue to give a subtle flame-like hue on my grey roots, over the course of a couple of years. But this just isn't really working out so far. I'll probably keep trying and will update the review if I have any success.Update (about a week later):I did another round and am going to increase the star rating. This time, the dye absorbed really well! I did two things differently: I shampooed my roots a day ahead of time and I used about twice as much dye. I also used petroleum jelly on my scalp line, as others recommended. That helped for not having a pink face but I found it didn't really work on the top of my head, as it just meant that the roots became immune to dye, lol. Basically, for my hair, if it's too conditioned/coated, the dye won't absorb. If it's dry, it bonds better. I have almost ankle-length hair, so I usually keep my hair pretty oiled and conditioned to avoid snarls. I do not bleach, ever, as that runs too much risk of breakage/harm.I do love how conditioned my hair feels after using this dye. I've upgraded from 2 stars to 5 stars. I'd probably knock it a half star for the way it dyes the countertop and tub, if I could take away half a star. I'm not sure how well it will hold up with time and may update the review later. I will note that the dye didn't stain the tub if it was diluted, such as during showering, but I also only used this on my roots (I use henna on the length) so volume may be part of why it went okay. My fingernails got badly stained - even though I used gloves, this stuff is strangely itchy for me so scratching it the first day led to messy pink fingernails. Not a big deal though. I ended up buying another color too, as the second round went so much better than the first round.

The color doesn't fade- if you do it right!
Tldr; if you leave the dye in for 8 hours and use some more common sense, you can get this dye to stick around for an insanely long time. Read further to understand what I'm talking about. So first off, my hairdresser was trimming my hair and remarks that there's purple in the back of my head, I was absolutely awestruck because my last I job was about 3 months ago. There is still Manic Panic stuck in my hair after three months, that's how good it can stick. For some people that might be a bad thing, but for me I thought it was incredible and really funny. The pictures I have here in the white shirt, I just completed the dye job last night. So the white shirt pictures of me are day one right after dying, the other picture is my natural hair color before and after. The color doesn't really fade too much at all over a couple of weeks, read on to find out how I managed to keep it this way! I hope this help somebody, and I'm 100% not sorry for the absolute novel of a review that I'm going to leave behind LOLThe color that I use is plum passion, and usually my dye job can last for about a month to a month-and-a-half without needing to be redone. Here is how I managed to do that.First off my hair is at level seven color naturally so I'm very lucky in that respect. See my before and after photo for a good look at my hair color naturally. I don't use any bleach or any other dye chemicals on my hair before dying. I don a pair of gloves, take one entire tub and put it all over my entire head including my scalp, and every square inch of hair that I can find, THUROUGHLY.I have a deathhawk with bangs, so I don't actually need an entire tub but since these are so cheap I go overkill on purpose just in case I missed any spots.Once I'm done with that, I take a shower cap and put it over top of my hair and tie a bandana over everything to keep it still.I then go to bed in my dye t-shirt and a towel over the pillow, and sleep in my dye for 8 hours. Yes, you read that correctly. The reason why this doesn't hurt your hair is because this is a semi-permanent dye which means it's just a conditioner with a deposit pigment. If this was a box dye/permanent dye then YES, it would melt your hair off to do that for 8 hours. So contrary to what the bottle says, don't leave it in for 45 minutes and expect a Dye job that will last for a month. The longer you leave it in, the more pigment gets to make contact with your hair and stay. Now keep in mind you want to use COLD water when taking a shower, and for me I wait until the very end of the shower and use a dime size amount of color safe shampoo.I then wash my hair in icy cold water as fast as I possibly can, because the less time that soap is on my hair the less dye will get washed out. As far as I'm concerned, the color doesn't deposit on shirts or Sheets or car seats, I don't have any of that problem.I don't use Vaseline around my face, I just use a makeup wipe after I'm done with my dye job and take my gloves off, and it comes right off.My scalp is stained purple for like 2 days, but that's about it.Now if you're feeling really brave and you know your hair well, because mine is thick and greasy normally and very healthy and strong, I will actually wash it with Dawn dish soap right before I do a Dye job, I make sure it's properly rinsed all the way through and dried 100% before applying to die.The greasier that your hair is, the less the dye will be able to grab hold of your hair, that's why on the box it says to wash your hair before adding the dye. This product does not smell funny, but it will stain Fabrics if it touches them. We're an old shirt and use gloves. When I'm done with a Dye job, my hair is extremely soft and silky and hydrated and Lush.I see a lot of people complaining about the colors washing away, but you have to take into account that this is NOT a permanent dye. If you have bleached hair then expect it to turn out a different color, if you didn't wash your hair before dying, of course it's not going to stay well.If you take a shower and lather for 10 minutes with a shampoo that's not dye safe in steaming hot water, of course you're going to wash the dye out. It's not rocket science. Granted everybody's hair reacts different to different things as well, and that's not the fault of the company. That's just human nature.I hope this review help somebody make a good decision, or may have enlightened somebody on a different way of keeping the pigments nice, if you have any questions please ask on the product page and if it involves the plum passion color, then I should be able to answer.Overall I'm very happy with Manic Panic, and I don't intend to go looking around for any other guys because this is the exact shade of purple that I was dreaming of oh, and it doesn't damage my hair, it actually hydrates and helps it.

Not as good as I remember!
Review for Hot Hot Pink.I used to use MP pink about 7 years ago and it would last so long on my virgin medium/dark blonde, and it would be so bright despite not bleaching and daily washing! I'd top up every 4/6 weeks to maintain. Now though... I have a balayage through my virgin hair and it's washing out SO quick from the virgin hair! I've washed 5 times between photos.Everything else:- You'll need to use gloves the first few washes if you don't want pink hands. Do not expect the water to run clear for some time. Wash 5 and it's since running pink.- Vaseline is your best friend when dying. Apply around your hairline, ears and neck.- It will stain your pillows if your hair is remotely damp when going to bed. Towels also. It will wash out though!- I've got away with not having stains in my shower, however I have a walk in and will aim the shower every few minutes to rinse the colour so it doesn't get time to stick.- 1. 5 tubs plus a tint bit of conditioner saturated my hair.If I think of anything else I will add. Overall not as impressive as it used to be.Perhaps they had to change the formula when there were changes in EU regulations?HOWEVER before I used this I did give Directions Flamingo Pink a try and that had 100% washed out in 6 washes and didn't take to my virgin hair at all, so will stick to this for the time being!

Was iwie einen lässigen Übergang schafft.
