Q: Can it be used with clear varnish/lacquer/poly/epoxy to create candy coating?

I use it all the time with clear but it won’t create “Candy” paints. Candy paints are created with Candy Toners to create translucent paints. These pearl powders create beautiful colors but are opaque and tend not to let the base paint shine show through.

Q: Is this a true red or does it lean to the pink side of the spectrum? I’ve purchased a lot of pigments that look red in the pics and end up being pink.

Thanks for the question! We agree that most reds (including some of ours) tend to lean towards the pink side. The majority of our customers state that Baku Red is about as close as you can get as a red. Now, if a user is using any type of white base underneath, no matter the type of red, it'll always have a pinkish hue. Hopefully this helps.

Q: Does the color stay true when mixed with epoxy? I bought another brand and blue looks turquoise after mixed

If you put enough in you it will look great. I had the same issue with some other brands and also putting not enough in my resin. This will stay true to the color as long as you know what you are doing!

Q: I'm wanting to color ultra thick embossing enamel, and want it red not pink. Will this work?

This is hot pink, not red. It's gorgeous, but it's not true red (in clear resin, at least).

I love this blue.
