Top notch reliability!!
This wheel and Thrustmaster accessories gets used a ton. It’s been I believe almost 2 years and this wheel still performs like it did day one. No creaking and my pedals don’t make any noise after all the use they get. The force feedback is strong as hell and will rip the wheel out of tour hand if not careful. The reaction time of the wheel is great as well. You can’t go wrong if you’re upgrading from a cheaper wheel. Now I will say I miss my Logitech G923 with the trueforce as with the trueforce i could feel the tires slipping across the pavement as well as when I would shift you could feel the tires chirp the pavement. I rarely get that feel with this Thrustmaster ts-xw racer. I will say though over all the Thrustmaster wheel feels way more realistic and the steering wheels being actual size makes all the difference. I’m sure Thrustmaster can send out an update to make the wheel better but that’s where they lack. I would assume a company this large would send out more updates than they do but they don’t. Doesn’t mean their products are bad because they aren’t. I would just like to see the company put in more effort fine tuning their products. I have both shifters and the $375 handbrake/ sequential setup and it’s worth every penny. I also have the thrustmaster module that allows you to run multiple items like you see in the pic. So trueforce although is great and seems to work on all racing sims isn’t worth having over thrustmaster ts-xw racer. I can feel all that the trueforce puts out on certain sims just not all.

As advertised and lives up to the hype
I was very excited to get this wheel, even had to cancel and re order it a few times due to back order issues. Now that I finally got it, I am glad to report that all the excitement is justified.ProsThe biggest detail is obviously the Sparco competition wheel. Everything about it is amazing. The build quality, the size, the feel, the texture, the 9 and 3 grip, the notches for at 10 and 2 feel exactly right. I guess not surprising, given that it is an actual racing wheel.Coming from a more budget TMX wheel, the power and detail in this motor feels like night and day in comparison. The motor is able to pick up on road undulations, kerbs and traction loss with a lot more detail and precision.Trying the TMX wheel back to back compared to TS-XW in Asetto Corsa and Project Cars 2, I was consistently churning out better lap times with TS-XW. I can get so much more information about what the car’s wheels are doing, there is no on-center slop, and the road feedback through the wheel comes much sooner. The power of the force feedback is also very strong, doing a much better job approximating the way a real car’s steering would feel. You experience every aspect, from steering weight increase while turning to response to bumps. The high level of resistance also helps to not unintentionally exaggerate the inputs such as over correcting for an oversteer slide.I haven’t noticed any bucking or that mechanical churning noise that tends to happen when cheaper wheels get overwhelmed. The unit is also internally cooled, and I haven’t noticed it getting hot the way TMX or G29 would.ConsThe cons are few but still should be noted. The pedal set that comes with this is frankly junk. They are flimsy, plasticy nonsense and really not usable in my opinion. I own the VG T3PA solid metal set from Thrustmaster and I wish I could get TS-XW without the pedals for a slightly reduced price. The Alcantara on the wheel is nice, but I wonder how long it will last before it starts to wear off, as this type of material tends to do, especially with heavy use.Lastly the buttons on the wheel (excluding the gear paddles, these are great) feel a bit cheap and don’t quite have a solid click feedback to them. Even the TMX has better feeling buttons and it’s half the cost.Overall, this wheel is great. It’s not cheap, but it is a tremendous difference in every aspect over any $300 entry level wheels. This is not just a difference in feel, I believe this wheel would actually improve your lap times. If you have the money, I would highly recommend skipping any entry level wheel and going straight for this.Edit: One point I forgot to add to my initial review is that in order to get the most out TS-XW's capabilities, you will have to fiddle with the force feedback settings in a given game's setup. That means either reading up on what each setting does or just giving it a trial an error approach. Project Cars 2 is particularly helpful in this regard, as they have detailed in-game explanation as to what each force feedback setting is supposed to do. After about 20 min, I was able to achieve a much better feel than the pre-set settings.2nd Edit: The games I play are: Assetto Corsa, Project Cars 2, and rFactor2. For some reason Automobilista runs poorly on my PC even though I have way more than enough GPU and CPU power to handle it

Top line wheel, fixed annoying creak sound from wheel
Feedback is extremely powerful. Spins very quick amazing for forza horizon and Motorsport. The wheel did creak at first when turning with feedback and it drove me nuts and I see it’s a common problem I believe I found the fix. The Allen screws in the front of the wheel connecting the brushed metal to the plastic of the actual wheel ( nothing to do with base or quick release) the Allen keys need to be tightened ( nearly over tightened) but they are tiny be careful not to strip. After getting the screws tight as possible the back of the wheel under the paddles have Philips head screws, 1 on each side. Tighten them up. All creaking sounds immediately ceased to exist and this thing can truly shine to its potential. Amazing product. Expensive, but you’ll see where that extra money went especially if coming from a cheaper wheel. Side note: warning sticker placed right on the beautiful red wheel base, when peeling it off it Leaves nasty sticker residue. I had to use goo gone to remove it. If you do that be extra careful no residue or anything drips or falls into the top vents. They shouldn’t have put that stupid sticker there but I’m sure nobody will want to look at that eye sore or the residue it leaves behind. Use a micro fiber and swipe away from the vents, maybe even cover the vents before wiping the residue away. Make sure to do this before turning it on or using it so the heat it dispersed doesn’t make it harder to remove. Hope this helps anybody in my shoes when making this purchase.

Great wheel but a lazy seller
What an experience.TLDR: The seller sent me the European version of the wheel which requires 240v for proper operation. Only thing is, I live in North America where I had the wheel shipped. We have much lower voltage in our outlets so the wheel would frequently lose FFB (Force Feedback) due to not receiving enough power. To say this was an annoyance is an understatement. It means I couldn't enjoy any race for more than a lap as the FFB would become too intense in some corners (especially in high downforce cars) and would completely disappear, only to be remedied by quitting the app and restarting. I tried F1 23, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally 2, and Forza Motorsport 7, all with the same result.Incredibly disappointing experience. Hopefully if you decide to order from this seller they will ship you the appropriate wheel for your region.
