It is not a mask and does not go over the eyes. It is a hat. Worked perefectly for my son’s Halloween costume, regardless.

Q: Will it fit an adult sized head?

I would say that it would fit a small to average size adult head. If you are a big person, it might be tight. I am an adult woman and I wore the caps occasionally for fun with my granddaughter.

Q: What is the size of the hat? Description says it fits 13-15 years old, but I see 4 year olds wearing it.

As always with any article of clothing it depends on the 13-15 year old. Some 15 year old students are as big as adults. This hat is fairly large...not a snug fit on my granddaughter when she was in middle school. We used it as part of her Halloween costume as well as just wearing it to school for fun. We purchased Sonic and Shadow and my granddaughter loves them. She is in high school now and the caps still fit her (she is petite). Since it is a cap designed to fit on the head and not cover the eyes, it should fit most youth who are Sonic and/or Shadow lovers. If I recall rightly, I could wear it as an adult. If your student is a gamer, it is a win win even as a collectable if nothing else.
