Minute hand doesn't fit. Terrible!!
Pay attention to the 14% 1-star reviews. I bought this kit in summer and tried it to use it recently. The hour hand fit well. the Minute hand is supposed to mount on the threaded minute shaft - except it doesn't. All I could do was press it down a little - but then it falls off after a while. Plus the Seconds hand doesn't fit unless the Minutes hand is threaded down all the way. This is my 1st clock mechanism from this company and it's been a terrible experience. What's worse, I wanted to give this clock to someone as a gift :-(

Easy to install and provides quiet operation, no more 'tik-tok'
We wanted to change out the noisy 'tick-tock' sound of our kitchen clock, and this kit was very close to the size of the original hands, etc. The clock/lamp repair place wanted $60 to switch it out, I got this kit for under $10 and had it switched out in less than 10 mins. Now that I've done this, I could do it in less than 4 mins. It was actually very easy to remove the old box, hands, and mechanism and replace it with this one. The main screw hub post was too long so I used the thin nut from the old mechanism and screwed it on first to keep the post from sticking out all the way, and i did not use the second hand (the hand that constantly moves counting the seconds). Everything installed quickly and easily (I never worked or replaced a clock mechanism before, it was too easy), and now our clock is quiet, no more tick-tock. The accuracy seems to be good - it's been about 3 weeks and it is still spot on, but we'll see in 3 months if it loses/gains any time, but so far so good.If you're hesitant because you haven't done this before, give it a try as it's quite easy.Good kit if you want to remove the noisy tick-tock from your wall clock.

Perfect for my Clock Design!
I’m a maker and I’ve long wanted to laser cut a London skyline clock for my kitchen. I ordered this mechanism, used the dimensions they provided - which are spot on - and my clock turned out better than I even expected! (Check out the photos!)

Good for LP clocks, continuous sweep second hand, silent operation..
Great replacement for an LP clock. Silent operation, continuous sweep second hand. It's only been about a week since installing but so far, it's kept time well. The size of the hands is nearly perfect for an LP.As with most clock movements, the hands are extremely fragile. Care will have to be taken to avoid bending the arms. A slight bend will result in the arms making contact with each other or the LP surface. .The minute and hour hands arrive with a plastic covering which isn't immediately apparent. This is to protect the paint. Removing the plastic should be done very carefully as any mishandling will result in the hands bending.Once installed, it works great. The red version looks especially good against the black background of an LP.

It'll do for now....
This kit came with everything we needed but I wish it also supplied larger clock hands. All the hands that this came with this kit were way too small for my 30" clock. The hands that originally came with the clock, didn't fit snug enough around the shaft of the mechanism. We had to use a little glue/tape to figure out how to get the minute/hours hands to fit. Also, we noticed around quarter past the hour, the clock was a little fast. But then at quarter till the top of the hour, it was slow. It's like gravity was making it run fast and slow. Not sure if it's the mechanism itself or if our larger clock hands are too long for this kit's mechanism. But these "larger" clock hands are paper thin so I'm not sure why they would be the issue.I might see if there's something better out there.
